I think the ending for the show was perfect, but I'm shocked that HBO cancelled it. I presumed that they would have learned from the numerous mistakes in the past *cough* Deadwood et al. It's sad what I think is truly masterful television have to end. That being said, I'm thankful that HBO gave it two seasons.

I used to be in lots of clubs and very sociable, but for the past three years I've been completely by myself.

Tame Impala "Feels Like I Only Go Backwards"
Arcade Fire "Intervention"
The Beatles "Twist and Shout"
Wye Oak "Doubt"
TV on the Radio "Will Do"

I always want to buy novelty shirts but I'm always afraid of what people will think of them or that it will draw unnecessary attention.

I want friends… It's Easter break and I'm pretty much going to be alone for the entire school holidays. I feel incredibly isolated, not just now but all the time.

I completely know what you mean. Breaking Bad is exciting and loud, as is GoT and Justified, but it doesn't feel like anything else on TV can challenge the intellectual complexity and rich characters from Mad Men.

WHAT? @avclub-8f883f027420fa071747b345a233898e:disqus either you completely missed the point of my post or I just phrased it poorly, but I prefer Mad Men. I really don't care about the characters in Breaking Bad compared to those in Mad Men. Mad Men has the most complex and endlessly fascinating figures on TV.

Also, you need the weight of the previous episodes to appreciate an individual one. I love "The Suitcase" but I feel like I can't just watch it. You have to watch the episodes leading up to it to feel a real pay off. Same could be said for almost any MM episode.

I second The Wheel. That pitch at the end is one of my favourite television scenes of all time.

Sal's poor, poor wife. She's so pretty…and naive.

If we call it a tie, then the terrorists win!

I think she just blue herself.

I've always viewed Breaking Bad as The Wire and Mad Men as The Sopranos. That's not to say I think BB is better (I much prefer MM) but the shows are thematically similar and have similar ways of telling their stories.

As did Shut the Door, Have a Seat!

I will have no more of this Farmiga bashing in this thread.

I heard that the episodes are split up differently in different markets so that would indicate that no, they're not really classic television, they're more like a split up movie. Although some mightn't see it being as satisfying that way, I still think it's excellent television. I'm really hooked.

Although I loved every single episode, "The Ghost is Seen" is the one that really got me. I'm pretty young, and one of my biggest fears is ending up like Tyler. "Why didn't I try" was such a killer of a line.

Little Richards for all the haters.

It's clearly serious as Rabin tells us to keep him in our thoughts, but the fact that he keeps referring to him as getting hit by a car, as opposed to saying that he was in an accident makes it shamefully humorous and slapstick.
