Julie Newmar Catwoman.

Funnily enough, in his recent "Tune In" exhaustive book about the early days of the Beatles, Mark Lewisohn writes that their "apple-cheeked" appearance in that particular picture was because they were pretty liquored up.

"Last night, I shot a Hydra agent in my pajamas. How he got in my pajamas, I'll never know."

Yeah, but if she's playing a Hofner, just by choice there's no way she won't be upfront.

Nah, I'm talking about the imported Mexican sodas. South of the border, they still sweeten with sugar, so the "Mexican" Coke, Pepsi, Sprite, Fanta, etc. taste "old fashioned." Folks who were young during the days of the show we're watching have flashbacks from these imports. They're about a dollar a bottle.

Orange Crush straight from the bottle is really, really delicious. These days, the Mexican Crush (with sugar, not HFCS) similarly hits the spot.

Yeah, I'm old enough to remember how I thought the Happy Days where Fonzie was this hood-ish secondary character was a much better show.

I thought that when the Hydra folks blew open the plane, and the 'Vette and the SUV clunked as the door fell to the ground, the gang would be hiding in the vehicles, which would have proceeded to fly/drive away. I was wrong.

I will not waste your time listing the reasons I will forever love this show. Here's just one memory. The guys I hung out with would challenge each other to sing or hum what we call today I guess the interstitial music from the show. An easy one was the slow version of the theme, when the moral of the episode was made

"Lead…" "Graphite."

"This has been Felix 'Red River' Unger and His Saddlesores, from high atop the beautiful Ritz Towers overlooking Gotham by the sea, asking the musical question…Good Night!"

"Then I went on the next time with Johnny [Carson]"

"It's just plain big."

Makeshift raft. Well done, sir.

Oh gosh. I would be remiss if I didn't tell this very short story. Which Lethal Weapon movie was the one where Gibson and Russo have witty, flirty banter while they're beating up the bad guys? When I first saw that scene, it struck me that a contemporary Nick and Nora-ish husband and wife detective/spy/what-have-you

Longtime Chicagoans will remember Sam Smith for his in-depth Bulls reportage, culminating in the best-seller The Jordan Rules. This was quite a departure for him.

Here's the thing about MI. If we go by theme alone, it's easily top ten. Except, as an opener, it was just mostly clips of the upcoming episode. I think it's a great choice, but not nearly as cool a table-setter as many other intros.

I just dove in pretty deep, and since I didn't see it, I have to ask you:

There's Gilligan's Island. Well done.

It's a solo tour, so we won't be able to ask Who's on first.
