Season 8 was pretty good. Season 9 is making me want to gnaw my wrists off.

Are you okay? You seem upset. Do you need to sit down?

I thought it was awesome too, and said so in the review. Just didn't have much more to say about it than that; she and Odo make a more convincing couple, and Kira is clearly ready for a leadership position (if there was any doubt). Kira rules.

That was 'cause 24 was pretty terrible by the end. I remember reviewing that last season, and the finale was a big ole disappointment. (Looking forward to the new season/miniseries this summer, though.)

I have absolutely no trouble understanding subtext. I just couldn't get my head to wrap around the puzzles, and didn't feel like the effort was worth the return.

FF4 (which will always be FF2 to me) was my first RPG for the SNES—in fact, I think it was the first game I owned for the system past Super Mario World, because my dad told me he was going to buy the new Zelda game, but they were all sold out. I think I've played through FF4 more times than any other role-playing

Man, I just could not make my brain fit Braid. Maybe this is why I'm single again, I don't know.

I love how every death in the game _counts_, even if it doesn't seem like that at first. And not in a punitive sense, either; dying isn't ever really a good thing, and sometimes it can be an enormous pain in the ass, but there's always that sense of clearing away just a bit more ground before you go. Like each death

Don't know if this helps, but my roommate hated Demon Souls, but really got into Dark Souls. (The "here are five vials you can use to restore your health" bit is especially helpful.)

" (at least we get some explanation for why they would be upset that his club got wrecked up — his program is some sort of persistent-world auteur program that can't be reset without literally resetting everything back to zero)"

No, it's entirely my error; thank you for the correction.

ha ha, yes, I didn't take notes and I'm not a gynecologist. Or even particularly clever. Apologies. This will totally not haunt me for the next few months, I'm sure.

The potion doesn't work on family members, but NaturalBlues was literally quoting a single line when I said "boy does it suck when everyone wants to fuck you." Even if I was alluding to the episode, I was describing a broader concept, which the commenter then expanded upon, which means that Thanksgiving, and the

A script that didn't spend the first two-thirds being decent, but not great. An inspired final five minutes is awesome, but this show is capable of being inspired for the full 20, so I'll save my better grades for then. (And as much as everybody's going on about how brilliant the end is, well, Futurama basically

"I know you're most likely right, but still would enjoy finding out for myself."

I think if Rick didn't care about anything, the show wouldn't work. You need just a little bit of giving a damn for the cynicism to go down.

Tragically, I am a moron who regularly slips on basic rules of grammar. Editing doesn't help. The whipping hasn't either. Please donate all you can to the "Zack Handlen Don't Much Care" fund. Give generously, and often.

And yet it didn't. Life is funny, sometimes.

Pretend it's an A- if you want. I mean, I explained my reasoning, but if it still bothers you, unleash the power of your imagination to raise a basically meaningless letter grade by a measly half point. Go for it, Don. Am I gonna stop you? Why would I stop you. We're all hurtling towards death on a giant stone ball,

It's not the snaps. The snaps are good, but what sold me was the back-up vocal in the chorus—"And we'll never be royals [rooyallls]." That [] bit hooked me; it's a little eerie and spooky and just kind of unexpected. Kind of like the "do do do do doobee doobee do" music in "Somebody That I Use To Know," although
