It's a two-parter!
It's a two-parter!
I didn't watch _every_ episode, just the bulk of the first five seasons, plus anything in season six and seven that looked like it might be worth mentioning (including the series finale, which was pretty blah). I'm sure I missed a few interesting episodes, but for the most part, going between the Internet and a basic…
That was "Hell Week." I mentioned it, but in retrospect, I probably should've swapped out "Thin Ice," which isn't as good. My reasoning at the time was the latter episode is better representative of how far afield the show would sometimes get, but it's not like we're doing a survey or anything.
Actually, the Widowmaker is the ep (called "The Widowmaker") where Mac's best friend (who we've never seen before) dies in the cold open, and then Murdoc just happens to stalk Mac, all grieving and shit, back up the mountain. It's fun, although Anderson has a hard time selling agonizing grief.
"It's A Good Life" is one of my favorites. Very jealous that Todd gets to cover it. (And I'm also looking forward to his review.)
I didn't miss it; I talked about it in the review. But given that we don't know what happens to him after he beats Fats, and also given that he will eventually lose a game of pool to _someone_, I just don't see it as being hellish. I understand that's what the writer is trying for with the story, but I don't think…
Others have talked about parts I'd forgotten, but this always stuck out at me (not really a "hint," is it?):
I was confident in my choice, but all those extra letters are really making me reconsider.
"I always felt like any of the brief moments of racism were Fitzgerald projecting Nick's snobbish elitism (and any attendant racism) into the narration"
…?
Yeah, I knew that word would cause problems. I didn't mean it in a pejorative sense, just that Johnson comes across, to me, as someone with a few edges. Which is cool. So does Avery Brooks.
Sometimes 2x4s are necessary, though. That Riker episode isn't flawless, but I thought it was powerful, and unsettling in some smart ways.
You sound like you could use a hug! I'll make some calls.
If it helps, it's actually from the writer of the Twilight screenplays.
I went back and forth on the grade, and the first half can be pretty frustrating. But I thought hour 2 was substantial improvement, enough to merit some optimism.
I didn't choose the link, actually. But I did post the entire poem earlier in the comments.
Good to know! I will have to watch it again.
DO AS I SAY!
Yes?
Dunno.
