Sure, that's a fine message, but it comes at the cost of Bajor, and I don't think it's worth the price. There were ways to do this which would have underlined the responsibilities of being the Emissary without making the Bajorans look like schmucks, but that's not the way the writers decided to go.

I never _hated_ the show; I just thought it was pretty mediocre in the early going, and I still think that. My biggest mistake (apart from maybe taking a few cheap shots, just to stay awake) was in assuming the series wasn't ever going to get better. It did, for all the reasons Phil describes above. Very glad to see

My favorite part about "It's A Good Life" is that it has no twist ending. It barely has a plot. It's just, "Boy, wouldn't this _suck_?" for twenty minutes, and it is terrifying.

I was really sad when the game never hit the Wii Virtual Console. Yeah, I know, emulators, but I wanted to play it on the big TV with a controller again. So much fun.

Eh, I got lucky for most of the season. It's only fair.

Cool, that gives me more of a reason to get caught up. Thanks!

Yeah, I watched LOST week to week for most of its run, and that finale destroyed me. In a good way. The slow burn of emotional investment made it feel like I was saying goodbye to a part of my life; I actually had a hard time talking for a few minutes after the final shots of the episode (I mean on the island, not the

The Simpsons makes me sadder, because the heights were higher, and there was no obvious creative change to drive the slump—it was more like the soul just withered and died, rather than being wrenched from a still beating heart.

Who?

Shakaar also called her Nerys, and it weirded the hell out of me.

Are you guys all talking about Dukat's second in command on the freighter? He was likable enough.

Her full name is Tora Ziyal. I made the mistake of using Tora too much in the early part of the review, and was then too lazy to fix it. (Process!)

Huh. You think someone would've edited that. I'll fix.

No, I think a B-story would've hurt the episode. But then, I don't think familiarity is a problem—and the lack of "uniqueness" is actually a boon to the story. Maybe it's a matter of how much you identify with Odo.

Grrr. That Catch 22 thing was in my damn notes, and I completely forgot to mention it! I'm glad -somebody's- on the ball here.

I doubt this helps, but the "he's" in that sentence should be a "he'd." (Typo on my part, I'll try and fix it later.)

Well, it was a joke? That's what you do when a joke is successful, I think. (I AM NOT AN ALIEN.)

And for Elementary fans, the guy who plays Jack popped up as a blink-and-you'll-miss-him love interest for Watson a while back. I always like seeing alumni from this show in other series/movies. Happens way less often than it should, really.

I wrote it, and forgot to change the attribution. (And EDIT: well, it looks like somebody fixed it.)
