Jimmy Stewart turned down the role of Atticus Finch because he thought the part was too "edgy." And he was a speaker at the Republic Convention where Nixon was nominated to run for a second term. He's not a monster or anything, but learning this did kind of make me sad.

I'll second this, and also repeat how important it is to have Visitor on this list. Kira is the first great Trek female lead. There were strong actresses in the franchise before her, but she's the first time the writing is as effective as the talent, and it's great. (I'm hoping "Shakaar" doesn't suck, because we've

Well, that's not going to be a surprise anymore, I guess. If he turns out to be a Founder, I'm blaming you.

Dammit, I knew I was going to forget something—I loved that Garak didn't reveal Odo's secret. It's such a complex moment; you realize he's telling himself, "Oh, it doesn't mean anything, there's no reason for me to bring it up," while at the same time knowing that the real reason he's not sharing the information with

I caught that episode a couple weeks ago, after not having seen the show in years. When I was a kid, this was one of the syndicated sitcoms my family would watch together every night, and I think I've seen every episode from the middle three or four seasons at least half a dozen times. And Becky's eloping, Dan's

Typo. I got the screener a few hours before the episode aired, so I was in a bit of a rush. (Although I kinda like it.)

I forgot to mention in the review, but Eli is becoming one of my favorite characters; he fills the same "good man but fundamentally impotent to stop the club's destruction" niche that Unser does.

She's got kind of a Hugh Laurie in the later seasons of House thing going for her—even when the writing isn't always up to par, she manages to hold the character together. And when the writing is good, like tonight, she's just fantastic. (Her expression as Clay went in for a kiss was horrifying in the best way.)
