I doubt you got it from me, but I did say something similar about the werewolf fucking on my old review site. It's just so hilariously tactless.

"Hi, I'm Dracula! I'm so angry at God because my wife committed suicide and can't get a proper burial that I'm going to stab this here cross and gain immortality. As an immortal, I'm going to spend the next few hundred years terrifying the locals and transforming attractive women into my horny slaves—god, I miss my

I almost gave BOONDOCK SAINTS as my answer, because I despised that empty headed piece of machismo bullshit. But I didn't actually get around to seeing it until 2003, so I figured that would be kind of cheating. Again, though: utter shit disguised with catch-phrases and a misappropriated sense of "cool."

I loved Night's Watch, and I dug this—the acting was solid to great, and I didn't find the social commentary particularly clumsy. I appreciated its directness, and how much it achieved within conventions of the genre.

The only way we know that Sisko altered the future was by taking Bell's place. All we learn is that Bell protected the hostages during the riots, and died when the military showed up. He was a symbol in the history books, and the episode leaves him as a symbol; as @avclub-0c3e626d1a287cdc48c77515c8dcc243:disqus points

I forgot to mention this in my review, but I really like the pairing of Sisko and Bashir; they contrast each other well. (In that Bashir's younger and more naive, but there's clear respect and mutual affection between the two.)

"this episode comes across as though "the future fixed our problems for us."

Just don't do this with Law & Order: SVU, because it is very easy and then suddenly you want to sterilize _everyone_.

I really enjoyed Prometheus. Didn't even mind the script. (I liked how weird it was, and how the movie went out of its way to not ever settle into a genre more definite than "sci-fi lunacy.") Admittedly, I went to see it after the Internet exploded so I had moderated expectations, but it worked for me.

I'm terrible at that. Apologies, and I'll correct for next time.
