Baltimore City Council in The Wire, anyone?
Is it too close to reality?

I was really disappointed that Werner didn't eat the sole of his shoe in that film.

I was hoping this was based on the classic computer game Rogue. Thandie Newton is a great visual improvement over "@" icon.

Someone locate John Swartzwelder!

I know. It's just The Bullet Train had he similar ideas about the train that couldn't slow down or it would blow up. Maybe his dad mixed up the titles.

His inspiration for Speed sounds like Junya Sato's  The Bullet Train, not one of Kurosawa's films.

Death of Superman was lame (and I paid a lot for bagged #75), but I actually enjoyed  the Reign of Supermen arc with fresh characters like Superboy and Steel. To me it redeemed Superman titles that's been sub par since Death.

Depends on whether you have good AIDS or bad AIDS.

His vocalist stunt in Tin Machine was cameo.

Too bad one Shinkansen got derailed last week.

Me.
We.

I've always liked the idea of having conjoined songs for starters, like Sgt. Peper or The Damned's Machine GUn Etiquette.

Being Human is nurses with vampires, werewolves and ghosts. You can't beat that.

At the review of The Gatekeepers:

Why am I seeing a lot of "The last line is a killer." sentence in AV Club's reviews all of a sudden?

Deep Space NIne.

Fittingly, their catchcopy was "The band you grew up with". Too bad they aren't around anymore.

Does anyone get mauled by Grizzly in this?

There was a comic in th early 80's UK called Adam and His Ants, about a young boy and his pet ants. It was remarkable to see how obedient ants were without their queen.
