And don't get me started on Hunted's mangling of auction theory, or BSG's complete ignorance of radar and EMP.

Also completely unrealistic. BZ lasts 3-4 days. And I'm not sure epi-pens do very much - from what I understand direct release of adrenaline causes its own down-regulation via *lower* acetylcholine levels, exacerbating the effects of BZ.

Another big problem with that ending: it reduced his self-destructive tendencies to mere substance abuse. He was 'saved' without having to deal with any of his psychological problems. That totally undermined all of the subtle characterization and hints about his background. (Nicole's treatment was also pretty…

Oooh, I'd watch that (if well done). Think there's a way to take that route that's faithful (or at least not insulting) to the source material?

This is my main gripe with the show. It's way too procedural, in the sense that if you've seen enough of them you see everything coming a mile away. They're not going to solve this until they start working on the really quirky aspects of his character or introduce antagonists (or a running antagonist) with…

I had no idea who she was, and I knew just from Law & Order experience it had to be his wife or secretary (maybe his child, but that card was played recently). Maybe the recognizable face just spoiled something you would have figured out on your own.

So that's the big reveal? Abel has four feet? Meaning Jax isn't really the father, and they search for some sort of half-man, half-cat incubus?

It could get more interesting - right now there are really two COTWs and they function as plot devices to keep the protagonist and antagonist from each others' throats. It could stay interesting for a while (one bad guy caught, one other guy blown up), but they don't have to stick to that format. The writers could…

Regarding the broomstick, I didn't find it ridiculous. If he uses the gun he risks a confrontation or having to shoot him when he runs (or worse, tries to back into the store and take hostages). If he trips him with the broomstick and then disarms him (OK, maybe he was going for disabling him) it dramatically lowers…
