Gosh, I made a mistake there! Good thing I'm not a documentarian.

Oops, sorry. The discussion was actually about gun statistics in Bowling for Columbine.

What's it like…
…conducting an interview where the interviewee makes multiple factual errors in his/her responses. This certainly isn't the first time. But do you realize it in the moment? Is it bad form to correct or contradict them?

I've seen this thing called google tossed around this site a bit. What is it?

Don't forget mime, not to mention macrame.

Done better before?
By whom? (Serious question, actually.)

He doesn't even seem to understand that hard drive data transfers can be very bursty. Not even a good geek metaphor.

Not too bad.
It contained some really quick humor at points, but generally suffered from pilotitis.

Morbid Tales
I thought it was a great episode. The woman's got some major issues, and the fantasy was contextualized incredibly well. The stakes are being raised — we're being asked to share in the delusions, while the consequences of the fantasy coming to a halt are becoming increasingly dramatic.

This is no time for games!
Best line. I want to play those board games.

Lithgow was creepy as heck in…
Ricochet. That movie was hilarious.

This show is frustrating
because it gets so many things wrong. One-dimensional characters, the dialogue around the sex is ludicrous, and most of the drug talk is terribly off. Of all the side players, Coop's the only one I can see getting any decent character development. It's hard to have sympathy for a

i assumed the magazine was for future payoff and to generally cast her as a contrarian w.r.t. her parents. the daughter seems to be set up as a reactionary foil (maybe she'll run off and join the chicago school of economics!). i suspect this won't be the only episode revolving around zany antics

Will no one speak up for Future Days?

well actually,
it's entirely possible for a majority to be above average (or below average). For example, in (10,10,10,10,10,1), all but one of the entries is above average.

Yeah, hate those anti-climatic storylines. You'd think they'd be more green than that.

as someone who doesn't watch 24…
…and was only later informed that Kiefer's bizarre behavior was "Jack Bauer mode", let me just say that this movie was incredibly hilarious. By the time he kidnapped the nun by gunpoint, I was rolling on the floor. His casual violence and impossibly short temper were truly amazing.

So much for double blindness
I smell a metaphor ahead.

No freaks recap?
Pity. I don't watch the show, and wouldn't mind hearing about those miserable people through the filter of your contempt.

That may be available as an unlockable easter egg.
