…conducting an interview where the interviewee makes multiple factual errors in his/her responses. This certainly isn't the first time. But do you realize it in the moment? Is it bad form to correct or contradict them?

I thought it was a great episode. The woman's got some major issues, and the fantasy was contextualized incredibly well. The stakes are being raised — we're being asked to share in the delusions, while the consequences of the fantasy coming to a halt are becoming increasingly dramatic.

i assumed the magazine was for future payoff and to generally cast her as a contrarian w.r.t. her parents. the daughter seems to be set up as a reactionary foil (maybe she'll run off and join the chicago school of economics!). i suspect this won't be the only episode revolving around zany antics…
