People are getting there, but it's not passe yet. I don't pay for any cable, cuz I'm too fiscally irresponsible in other areas, and don't watch enough television to justify it. Right now I just hook my Mac up to my HD with an RGB cable and enjoy whatever shows I feel like watching off the interwebs for free!
