Good choices!
I started watching because of Peter Krause. It's a great heartfelt drama that never gets too heavy. There are hardly any "bad guys" and the show doesn't take sides in arguments. And I just love all the little interactions and jokes that are probably extra convincing because of the ad-libbing that often happens on set.…
Steve's and Zack's answers are really comforting to me. Thanks, guys!
@avclub-a5645f9f05d250acc9e20bb01c4e8b08:disqus Thanks! Looking forward to it a little more.
@avclub-410987637793620466d1b0732bd7ed6d:disqus Yes, I'm definitely going to do that! I've been reading Sepinwall's reviews for season 1, glad to add the AVC ones now.
I'm watching Friday Night Lights for the first time, about to start season 2. Any advice? Is it really that bad? Should I binge watch it to get it over with?
Wednesday: I went to see Regina Spektor for the fourth time. Great performance as always, and everyone loved her.
Oh, I forgot about The Book Thief! I hope it turns out good. As good as the book. I just read a blog post by Markus Zusak that sounds comforting, but I still don't want to look forward to it too much, if that makes sense.
Oh, yeah, that should work - you have 55 days to watch 31 episodes! I binge-watched season 1 and 2 and then watched the rest in real time. That's when I started to take more time to read reviews and comments to enjoy it a little longer (though it can be hard to avoid people who just keep repeating that they hate a…
Yeah, Breaking Bad. Duh. I wish I'd started watching it sooner than just last summer. But on the other hand, it was a real luxury to have a seemingly infinite number of episodes to watch.
Oh, yeah, definitely looking forward to Her. Though I guess I'm not going to see that in 2013 if the US release date is in November..
So on Tuesday I decided I didn't want to miss out and started watching Orange Is the New Black. I've seen 6 episodes so far, I guess I'll watch 2 each week now to be in sync with the reviews on here. It's a good show (duh).
I'm surprised there's no post about the live read of the Breaking Bad pilot on here.. unless I missed it? Mae Whitman played Jesse Pinkman. Aaron Paul, Bryan Cranston, Vince Gilligan, Anna Gunn and R.J. Mitte were all in the audience. It sounds like a pretty awesome event. Same goes for this premiere, of course.
I forgot his name from the desk to the A.V. Club!
Legal - I guess so, if they own it? Unless you buy it with some kind of agreement that you have to take good care of it.. In any case, it would make a lot of people mad.
Yes, I found it really moving too, and was on the edge of my seat for Geoffrey's first lines! Though I don't feel like I'm a good judge when it comes to Shakespeare productions - I really haven't seen a lot yet. But the show has definitely given me new insight in the three plays.
I finished Slings and Arrows on Saturday. I probably wouldn't have seen it if it wasn't for the A.V. Club. Great stuff.
-The entire season of Enlightened
-The entire season of Rectify.
-New Girl: first Nick/Jess kiss, obviously.
-The Americans: Gregory's death
-Parenthood: Kristina wearing a red wig and pretending to be "Jennifer", a 27-year-old, as Ryan Hansen flirts with her. People always talk about Potter's dramatic crying scenes, but…
He still had to say it at least once though..
Are you new to Arrested Development too? I just watched season 1, ep 15&16 today!
I agree, they can be really great. I really love Forever Young in the Parenthood sequence! It always makes me very happy to see that one. And I'm watching Freaks and Geeks for the first time along with the A.V. Club reviews, that sequence is also great fun. I'm pretty disappointed that Enlightened didn't have anything…
