It pains me that none of the ten thousand flash-forward episodes have featured Bart's confirmation hearings.

"Well, THAT didn't do it, Mr. Kilt." Great bitchy delivery from the Reverend.
He's not nearly ugly enough to play a Medici.
Can't speak for today's yute, but this didn't even resonate with me when I saw it as one of those white suburban teenagers it was apparently aimed at. I can't remember any of the characters names, or what they said. The thing that struck me most then was how unsuited for their roles everyone but Hall and Sheedy were. …
Agreed. Also, it's weird when this comes from Americans. They only reason they exist as a country is that France just couldn't resist the chance of another go at the rosbifs.
89 comments and no 'Gloria Allred, Shrill Feminist Attorney'? For shame, AV Club. For shame.
I think you're attributing too much post-Victrola cultural knowledge to old C. Mont.
I'd like to see queer replace the ever-growing acronym, myself. It's short, it has a history, it tells the norms you're scary (important to some very young people) and it has a kickass theme song sung by Shirley Manson.
IT IS A DARK TIME FOR THE GALAXY. THE EMPIRE HAS FRAGMENTED INTO PRECISELY 1,267 WARRING FACTIONS. THEY ARE, IN ALPHABETIC ORDER, AS FOLLOWS:
Nothing - for holding a single Moff. If there's several, though, it has to be a Moffeteria.
And people wonder why the Expanded Universe was dropped. It should have been "Moffeteria" not "Mofference room".
Is there any better childproofing film scene than the Chamberlain lurching around in his under-robes whining ' Gelflingggg frreeenddd?' They should put that on youtube, so kids today know not to talk to strangers on The Twitter.
Raising Arizona was one of two movies* the whole Headmelter family liked and our go to line was 'dammit, HI the sun doesn't rise and set on the corner grocery'.
I pressed for "Lavalantula 2: Still Lavalantulatin'" but was out-voted.
Sorry, that was harsher than I intended. To be clear I was objecting to the absoluteness of the rule - I know there are lots of vaginophobic gay men out there, or gays who think it's cute to pretend to be vaginophobic. I was also a bit ticked about Dan Savage trying to lay down the law about who's really gay or not.
If that's his rule, he's an idiot. I used to do it all the time and would have no issue with doing it again if I were to go back to women. Nonetheless, I am gay, whatever Dan Savage thinks.
I missed that! I do remember seeing Mr Simonelli referenced as one (he's one I'd like to see more of). I was thinking that Stephen might try to introduce the norms of a well-run Regency household and the fairies longing to return to indolence and dissipation.
Ach, ye speak like a poet, and ye punch like one too!
Yes, I wanted to see the scene where Stephen announces to the fairies that there's a new sheriff in Lost-Hope. (Though from what we see of fairies in the book, there's a chance that Good King Stephen's reign will be short and spectacular).
So you too suffer from Headmelter's Syndrome?
