An interesting bit of local trivia…In Colorado, there was a funeral home that advertised late at night in the 80s that used "Saudade" as the background music for their commercial…

Absolutely agree "Express" has the most good songs on it…I didn't listen to anything on the stuff after the self titled 3rd record…

I was so into Love and Rockets in high school (both them and Bauhaus). To the point that I had all the LPs, LP singes, EPs and video collection…Being a morose and depressed teen in the 80s, I'd play the slow version of 'Mirror People' over and over again and then ease into some Joy Division or Cure…

As a Gen -Xer, we have had precious little in the way of any real power to unseat the generation that is 2 to 3 times as big as ours and refuse to retire…And the "Greatest Generation" hasn't let their power go either…

This has been a rather thoughtful, intelligent debate on Dan Savage and his views that hasn't drifted into cool recipes, racism, homophobia or humorous one-upsmanship…
