Not sure if depends on the state, but surely since they were married and he's been the boy's father for a decade +, I can't imagine any family court would allow his parental rights revoked on the basis he wasn't genetically the father.

My thoughts exactly. Wow, a couple on a cop/gangster show is able to communicate lovingly and effectively! What a twist!

Agreed. This review read like Erik was determined to dislike it before the episode even started.

This episode absolutely deserved better than a C, but, from a legal standpoint, I did have a problem with the Velcoro custody plot. There's no way his ex could have his parental rights revoked on the basis of his paternity test alone… just ask anyone who finds out after years of parenting and/or paying child support

Support for prohibition was largely motivated by anti-immigrant, anti-Catholic sentiments. The KKK in particular supported Prohibition because of the use of alcohol in Mass.

That's a waste of LSD, which is very hard to find these days.

Don't knock Shaggy! He's a Persian Gulf veteran!

If I were Colin, I would've taken the cash and paid for the custody lawyer.

Oh hell yeah! When I saw him appear in the bar scene, I was afraid they might kick him out for classing up the joint.

Stringer Bell is a great example! The problem with "going legit" for people like Frank and Stringer is that they don't know how to solve problems or overcome hurdles other than through illegal and/or violent means. The goon with the gold teeth tells Frank to "call the cops"; that's kind of reminiscent of when

Frank is a character who thought he was transcending his gangster origins, getting out of the muck, and hitting it big (legitimately) with this land deal. Now he is back to scrapping and having to prove himself through brawls like a low-level thug. I'm obviously in the minority, but I think Vince Vaughn's

Ugh, I thought so as well.

Anyone else think there's a possible connection to Season 1? Remember the sex cult in Louisiana wore animal masks as well…

I just assumed I wasn't the target audience for this show and I'm fine with that.

I disagree. I thought it was a really compelling start, even if it wasn't as flawless as the first episode of Season 1.

True Detective: The post-high school adventures of Regina George! Or that's how I'm going to think of that character at least, as it makes perfect sense for her story arc.

I have to disagree about Immortan Joe. He's certainly a scumbag, but he seemed to have a decent relationship with his sons, no matter how horribly crazy or mutated. Even that stumpy little one was a Warlord instead of a treated like a football.

I'm pretty sure that he's a True Believer. I thought it was implied that Melisandre is the one who cured his daughter of the stone sickness, which is how Melisandre managed to weasel her way into his court. But I could be wrong.

Even if Jon Snow is Rhaegar's son, there would still be those who wouldn't believe it or didn't think he had a legitimate claim since Rhaegar and Lyanna were never married.

Other than creepy shadow baby, he hasn't fathered any other children. The problem might not actually be his wife.
