Personally, I'm rooting for Lin and pretty much all of the other Sons' antagonists. At least the villains are decent enough not to fuck over their own people. The only thing the Sons are good at are getting people stupid and naive enough to trust them killed. They're no longer even effective as a criminal

If only you were writing this show instead of Kurt Sutter.

Gwyneth Paltrow in Sliding Doors. She's a truly vapid human being and about as bland as a rice cake in all of her films, but in that one movie, she somehow manages to be such a charming protagonist and provoke so much sympathy.

When has loved one of an SOA member been murdered by anyone BUT someone from the club? Donna, Piney, etc. Inevitably, the perpetrator (in this case, Gemma) tries to point the finger at a rival gang member, and inevitably, the truth comes out (after the death of many innocents). I reinterpreted the missing bagels completely differently. Kevin is questioning his sanity. His father lost his marbles and everyone in town thinks he made up the story about the Bald Dog-Shooting Guy.

That line was from Roger recalling Mona's first impression of Don and Betty.

Ugh, I hope not!

I'm going to wait and see how Cersei and Jaime's character develops from this point further before passing judgment, but if the show uses Cersei's rape and trauma to make her "softer" and more "sympathetic"— a cheap trope that daytime soap operas have used to change the character arcs of women villains since at least

The episodes aren't actually 90 minutes. It's just a ton of commercials.

Even so, it's really ridiculous to use the same "shock" moment twice in the same series.

You know it's getting bad when they start recycling old "shock" moments.

That's it, you win.

Shit you're right.  I made the mistake of looking at IMDB and sure enough, the next episode is the last with Pam listed as a character. :-(

The Stackhouse family has an abysmal work ethic.

Good point!

Maybe they couldn't afford to pay the salary for his awesomeness for more than a few episodes.

Not that I expect realistic "family law" to come into play in True Blood, but what right does Sam Merlotte actually have to custody of Emma?  He briefly dated her Mom, who is now dead.  The only family Emma has left is her grandma, who is also a werewolf like she is.

My thoughts:

In the books, Jaime didn't return until after Joffrey's wedding… I wonder how his presence is going to affect the plot of the next season.
