I actually got misty-eyed in the first scene when he's trying to teach his son how to punch, the son starts crying, and then they throw their arms around each other.  Once the mandoline came out at the end, I was done for!

The first prison episode Sweet Clam is referring to is from Season 2.  The Sons got locked up after Zobelle's daughter tricked the Sons into storming in with guns blazing on what they thought was a white power gang meet up, but was actually a church dinner.

Regarding Pam and Tara's sire-childe relationship, I'm surprised no one's commented on the racial politics of that relationship.  In Episode 5, Tara says "Am I just your slave now?!" and in this episode, Pam says: "You made me proud… the way a human is proud of well-trained dog."
