That's some of the darkest stuff I can remember from this show. Sure, they've done more outrageous stuff, but this wasn't dressed up in any kind of wacky adventure or absurdity.

Sure, it's an innocent show full of colors and celebrations and fun, but the not-quite-right feeling for me was two-fold:
Yup, that's where I got my fill. There was a time when that channel really showed nothing but old, half-forgotten cartoons from the 50's-80's.
It was Flushed Away that really did in that relationship, but yeah, the debatable success of this movie drove in that initial wedge.
