Yoshitaka Amano once drew me a charcoal sketch of Vampire Hunter D. I gave it to an ex because I broke up with her on her birthday.

I almost suggested Multiplicity! But then I went with Queen of the Damned 'cus holy shit that movie is an abomination. Multiplicity had pizza in a wallet, QOTD had KoRn and vampires!

@avclub-4602fc349ffc0ad649190e937f2a5f14:disqus I wound up with a copy of Jefferson Airplane's album Long John Silver and noticed it had fold and cut lines on it. Turns out it transforms into a giant cigar "stash box," replete with fake bud printed on the bottom of the box when you open the lid.

Perhaps that was my problem with the book. I had just finished reading about Ged calling down a dragon and other epic moments. Atuan just left me cold, which perhaps was the point. I just got weary of the myriad similar descriptions of the dungeon's walls. I also listened to it on audio book and may have just absorbed

Wizard is a masterpiece. Tombs of Atuan was a test of my attention span and patience.

I'm glad to hear you guys giving strong arguments for that book. I bailed out early and was considering going back to finish Left Hand.
