@ Boscogn: I thought the same exact thing. It also reminds me a bit of Adrian Lyne's "Jacob's Ladder."

Howzabout some Families with Low Self-Esteem?

Eradicator, that was some crowd-kill material.

Last night, Tara came awfully close to breathing her last. My friends and I cheered, hoping that her bullshit storylines and inane behavior would all get snuffed out.

I wanna see the movie from the husband's perspective. It'd be called "Shit, Shower, Shave."

"Telephone Line" by ELO? Dude totally asks the operator to "just let it ring a little longer."

I think it's hilarious that nobody stops a sixth grader holding a Salinger book. I was scolded for watching stuff like Robocop as a kid but knew deep down that exploding toxic man couldn't match the eternal trauma of "Bananafish."

I read "Cujo" in elementary school, which didn't sit well with me. The wife's lover coming over and trashing the house was pretty traumatic, on top of a kid my age being trapped in a car by a vicious dog.

Thank you!
The coverage on the Berkeley Breathed panel was awesome. I was up all last night trying to explain the brilliance of Bloom County to my girlfriend. (yes, I'm that kind of boyfriend). Just today, I was looking at an anthology in a bookstore and thought how great it'd be to meet Berk. I found this post by

"You're awfully cute. But unfortunately for you, you're made of meat."

I second that, Blackgoat. I was shocked not to see "Chemical Bomb" on here. I mean, it's a great list, but how many of these songs have lines like, "eyes melt, skin explodes, everybody's dead" and "I think this world is gonna wash up in hell" sung to a gentle, lilting pop melody?

I'm surprised
that there's such a tepid response to BEE here. Is it chic to diss Ellis nowadays? Methinks he's an easy target for discerning, serious "literary types." Perhaps he's too close to ironic 80's culture for most people's tastes.

Who do you recommend, Oswald?

OP likes their song "Stars of Track and FAIL"

Charlize Theron's favorite superhero is Mr. F

Pancakes, that video is piss-your-pants hysterical.

Neophyte, you don't remember the Nu from Chrono Trigger?

For once
I actually agree with the moralist group. What's the point of using thinly veiled profanity for a public TV show's title? Obviously it's just a controversial selling point for the producers and CBS. I feel at times like we've just gotten so comfortable with adult aspects of life that we forget that there are

Stayed up all night playing S&P2; best $2 I've spent in a long time. Puzzle Quest has become a jilted ex-lover.
