As far as the recent Killer Mike/El-P releases go, R.A.P. Music is probably my least favorite, with Cancer 4 Cure probably being my favorite.  At first I thought this was because I like El-P better as a rapper than Killer Mike, but then I realized that I prefer Mike's verses on Run the Jewels to El-P's so I'm not

Congrats on 39 weeks!

Good luck with the tree limb thing.  If I had any experience with owning a home, I'd offer some advice re: homeowner's policies, but as it is I can only offer various and sundry good vibes, so hopefully those qualify as acceptable internet well-wishing currency in this situation.

If they can get through 65 minutes of hockey with the Canes with a tied score, I can guarantee you the Leafs could add a few more shootout wins to their resume (incidentally, are regulation+overtime wins still one of the metrics used to decide one's placement in the standings after points this season?)

Was the Four Tet album only streaming on SoundCloud for one day?

Stuff I watched:

So, I'm assuming that the Nick Fury cameo was the reveal that I would totally wouldn't want to have spoiled to me, according to the ubiquitous commercials I saw on NBC promoting SHIELD last week?

I read somewhere that it's speculated that part of the reason that Cormac McCarthy hasn't gotten a Nobel Prize yet is because he'd be "too obvious" a choice.  Which seems like an incredibly dumb reason not to award someone the Nobel Prize, but if this speculation is onto something, then I imagine the same could be

I was really hoping this would mean that someone was making an Infinite Jest show, even though that would probably end up being a terrible show, and I'm not sure which role Rob Lowe could possibly play.

The good news is that it's just a sprain, and won't require surgery.  The bad news is that Manuel's out for 4-8 weeks.

Also, realizing that Ron's probably going to actually make a pretty good dad is one of the biggest character pay-offs to occur on this show.

Possibly the best thing about this week was realizing that Ron already is a father, and seeing him interact with his daughters as his daughters rather than his girlfriend's kids for the first time on this show, even if it was only for a few seconds.

She is.

To be fair that could already be April's legitimate reason given the fact that she's pretty unlikely to tell Ann anything legitimately important about herself, when her idea of circuitously telling Ann that she's a good friend is by disingenuously deadpanningly telling her that she's worse than Guy Fieri.

The April plot was a huge waste.  Especially the way that her whole "I just decided on a whim not to go to vet school and continue to grow as a character which is in direct contrast to my five seasons of character growth" speech seemed like it was supposed to come off as a good move by April, when it was overall a

Yeah, this episode was pretty much annoying Leslie at her most annoying.  Except for that part where she shoots a t-shirt out of a t-shirt cannon at Ben, but even that was hilarious solely for Ben's reaction:  "Why do you people keep expecting me to catch things?"

Not too sure what Ben Wyatt would think of Voyager though.  We already know that what he thinks of the Picard vs. Kirk debate.

Which, honestly, doesn't say a whole lot for the episode.  But it was a surprisingly funny cameo.

This is probably one of the weakest episodes I've seen of Parks in quite a while in my opinion.
