Wait, there are people out there saying "blah, 2013 is terrible for music"?  What the fuck?

"Subway" is also a pretty good song.  But yeah, as a whole, it wasn't that great of an album.

The Next Day?

Are there any plans for a new album at this point?

It's definitely my favorite solo output from Wilson, and I thought it was really good for the most part.  But there were a couple of spots that felt a little too derivative of 70s prog for me, like on parts of the opening track "Luminol".  But the album gets better as it goes on, and the semi-title track is fantastic,

I thought it was really good.  A lot better than their last couple of albums.  It's probably my favorite since ( ), which is probably rating it a bit higher than most would.  I think it'd be worth your time to either give it a chance or give it another chance.  I definitely didn't think it was forgettable.

No, that's definitely Tompkins.  And hasn't he been on the show before, during that episode where Finn and Jake sneak into the Fire Kingdom?

There's still drug references on the show, though.  Like that guy who was selling PB, Finn and Jake magic spells, whose demeanor was pretty much exactly that of a weed dealer.  It wouldn't surprise me if BMO deleting files was his/her way of getting high.  Plus, it has some pretty serious consequences while staying

Yeah, I mean, literally in the context of the fictional world created by the show, BMO doesn't have a gender because he/she is a sentient video game and not a living thing.  But that doesn't mean that the show can't also have the intent of speaking to the real world in the sense of having the message that gender role

I liked this, especially the point about BMO's fluctuating gender not defining his/her character so much as just being a part of who he/she is.

"Tears in the oven?"  Possibly my new favorite BMO-malapropism.

"Holy shit, there's a TV show with moral and ethical grey areas?" said the guy who has never heard of Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, The Americans, The Wire or half the other shows that get covered on this site.

WAIT, Pen Ward has never done drugs?  Holy living fuck that is difficult but possible to believe.

Yeah, Desmond may have the best flashback episodes of anybody.  I expect you'll enjoy them.

Wait, is The Skeleton Dance that really old cartoon with skeletons dancing in a graveyard and using each other as pogo sticks, xylophones, etc?

Shit man, sorry to hear about all that.  Hope this next week goes better for you.

Didn't consume too much pop culture this weekend, but I did see the Season One finale of Borgen, which was a slight step down from a couple of the previous episodes, but still really awesome.  There were some serious consequences for just about everyone.  And Sanne got fired, which sucks, because Sanne is way more

I think I liked the episode more than you did, but yeah, Bent's firing has been telegraphed since that rooftop scene in episode 2 where he tells her that she can't keep friends.  The way that it was played like two or three times or so in the "previously on…" segments made it blindingly clear that Bent was eventually

Luke understood what R2D2 was saying, somehow.
