Hmm, I thought the soundtrack to the episode was great.  Sometimes the songs can be one of my least favorite things about this show, but that song that BMO was playing on his/her cassete-player function at the beginning was pretty fucking great.  Like, if they sold it on iTunes, I would buy it, because I feel like it

I didn't see this on TV, but when they mentioned stakes, "Card Wars" was the first thing that came to mind.  It's probably the perfect episode to pair with this one.  And as someone who enjoys making bets for inconsequential amounts of money (usually on the order of about 10 cents), I find it quite amusing that the

But the "random sexy party that destroyed their house" is only like 15 seconds at the end of the episode.  It's like saying that the Harry Potter series sucked solely on the basis of the epilogue.

I'd sort of agree with you, because that whole sequence goes on for a while, and it's not nearly as creative as what goes on in the walls, but, as mentioned in the review and in other comments on here, this episode was exploring a ton of different historical animation styles, and that bit with the bikini babes chasing

That was easily the most adorable thing to happen on this show since whatever really adorable thing happened on last week's episode.

I haven't seen the episode yet, but I will say that, thus far, the Ramsay story has really been pretty poorly handled.  Are they just going to take a "lost bodily appendage of the week" approach to Theon's story until we reach book 5?

Yeah, "The Lion King" was my first movie in theaters as well.  Apparently my parents had won some radio contest where the prize was tickets to "The Lion King", some little plastic animal toys, and a trip to the zoo.  I only remember the little plastic lion, giraffe, and rhinoceros, however.  That, and "Toy Story" had

What the actual fuck?

My favorite Peanuts special was "It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown".  I've always thought that it was massively underrated.  It was the only Peanuts special that I had on VHS growing up, and so I was far more acquainted with it than with any of the other specials.  I still love Marcy failing to prepare eggs

The show is definitely a lot less marred by over-quoting (with the exception of a few skits), but it was also a lot more uneven than "Holy Grail".  I first saw it when I was in the fourth grade, and I don't think any of my other classmates had seen it yet, so by the time I started hearing people quote the shit out of

It was also one of Michael Crichton's better books, before he'd written most of his better technothrillers, and long before his technothrillers devolved into laughably bad rants about how global warming is a myth and minor child-molesting characters with the same name as critics who'd given him bad reviews.

"Home Alone 3"?  The direct-to-video McCauly Caukin-less sequel to "Home Alone 2".

Which is the "Star Trek" movie where Picard has flashbacks to his time as a Borg?  Because I saw that movie a ton of times as a little kid.

"mid 1980s Disney was pretty shit"

Um?

@avclub-9ff7c9eb9d37f434db778f59178012da:disqus My dad still has a shitty old broken VHS player simply because his letterbox original version of Episode V got stuck in there while my brothers and I were watching it one summer vacation.  One of these days, assuming the original versions aren't out on Blu-Ray, I imagine

@avclub-8f1899cdb606a3c7a0aa80d617eb123b:disqus On the other hand, wanting to be a "thought-provoking" piece of sci-fi (with all its dull political intrigue bullshit) is just one of the reasons why the prequel trilogy fails so massively.

I think that's going to be the answer for like…80% of people who were born after the early 70s as well.  Side note:  if there's one good thing about all the theatrical re-releases of "Star Wars" with whatever pointless CGI or 3D shit George Lucas wants to add to them, it's all the little kids who will get to see "Star

I'd say for me it's a tie between "Toy Story" and the original "Star Wars" trilogy.

They're playing at an electronic music festival headlined by Nine Inch Nails in Asheville, NC sometime in the fall (yeah, they don't really fit in with the genre of most of the bands, although Godspeed You! Black Emperor is going to be playing and they're also kinda hipster-y).  If I were the type of person who has
