I'm not even that big a fan of "The Office", but that was a great moment.

I forgot about the epilogue to "Blood Meridian", largely because the dance scene that precedes it legitimately one of the most terrifying things I've ever read, with everything rising into this terrible crescendo of the Judge's triumphant proclamations that he will never die.  It was just so viscerally dread-inducing.

As someone too lazy to do a quick Google search, how big is the A.V. Club's commentariat?

Yeah, seriously.  Thanks for all the awesome articles, Tasha.  You will be missed by the commentariat.

I don't care if there wasn't really any deeper message, or serious character moments, or bat-shit-insane level weirdness, this episode was hilarious.  Every once in a while AT needs just a standard episode to pack as many jokes into 11 minutes as possible, and tonight's episode totally delivered on that.  Maybe the 28

I feel like I could say this about something almost every week, but the Grandelson-phone call is in my opinion one of the all-time comedic highlights on this show.  It just gets so in depth, and every time you expect them to stop, IK just adds another hilariously unnecessary layer to it.

Not that I'm aware of.  And this is Adventure Time; they pretty much do whatever the fuck they want.  And honestly, it makes sense to air this episode a season after "BMO Noire".  The episodes aren't really thematically connected, and it adds to the already considerable sense of continuity (for a cartoon) that this

While we're on the subject, can grown men really become evil whack-poo-brain Ice Kings from wearing a cursed crown?  Can dogs really talk?  Can squirrels practice the sport of archery?  Could a bounce house become sentient, and would bouncing inside her be a barely-subtle metaphor for having intercourse with said

This logically makes sense, but from a narrative standpoint, FP wasn't really needed here (this wasn't a relationship story), and it would've been more expensive with the extra guest voice, no?

What about the cats with lemons tied to them?  That was fucking adorable (the Ice King's incompetence in crashing parties is paralleled only by the Banana Guards' incompetence in anything related to law enforcement).

This episode of Adventure Time?  Or did you mean the one about the depth of his delusion?

I feel like "they'll suck your blood, they'll suck your blood" is a hook  a hundred considerably less talented and creative bands could have come up with.  Hence, it was pretty disappointing coming from a YYYs song, and a title track, no less.

Yeah, that last minute of "Sacrilege" is pretty much the only legitimately soulful moment of the album.  The way I've heard this album described you'd think it was to the YYYs what "Young Americans" was to David Bowie, but mostly it's just an album where an increased weirdness and playfulness does a decent job of

Judging from a first listen (though I've admittedly never particularly enjoyed any YYYs album on a first listen), this seems to be pretty much the best description I've heard of this album thus far.

I didn't care much for "Mosquito" either.  Its playful weirdness keeps the studio version from being embarrassing, but it treads close enough to being an utterly terrible idea that I could see any particular live performance of the song being pretty shitty.

Is it weird that I consider "Show Your Bones" to be their best album by a significant margin?

I don't think there's anything wrong with that.  In fact, I would be far more likely to suspect you of being contrary if you'd claimed to find the cover art to not aesthetically displeasing.

After seeing this episode, I think BMO is now my favorite character on any currently-running TV show.

There was also the deer-of-doubtful-evilness from "Marcy and Simon" the other week.  The one that got made into a breakfast of "mostly pine needles and deer guts".  While not strictly "freaky-ass", it was certainly pretty goddamn macabre.  Deer on this show have been pretty consistently presented in very unusual ways.

People being patronizing (to anybody in general) pisses me off, so fuck yeah to @avclub-acd0ce34e1e973cc95b5a4a588b9dc8c:disqus .
