"Just stop yelling!"

Yeah, Zelda was what it reminded me most of as well.

I don't know about the HG2G reference.  It's what the mind is automatically drawn to when one hears "42", but it seemed a bit too subtle to be a legitimate reference.

The only thing that disappointed me was the fact that BMO didn't join Jake for some chamomile tea, but I feel like that would have dragged out a scene that felt like it had reached its natural conclusion, so yeah, I'd say that this was a pretty fantastic episode.

"'What was that?"  "He was saying "Evilevilevil," over and over again."  "Yeah, yeah, I heard."  "Oh, I wasn't sure if you heard, because he was whispering."  "Yeah, I heard."

GRRM must not be a Bills fan, then.

I'd say it's the book.  ASOS is easily one of the most intense things I've ever read.

SPOILERS!

Wait, didn't season 2 end with the Battle of Blackwater and other pretty noteworthy stuff?  King's landing getting sacked and almost run over by Stannis, Jon killing Qhorin to spy on the Wildlings, and Danaerys doing whatever it was that they ended her plotline in the show was all pretty significant and all came to a

"Jerry's Painting", anybody?  I don't remember nearly enough brilliant moments from that episode, but I remember it being pretty fantastic.

Yeah, it would have made a great series finale.  Does anyone know what this show's prospects of getting a Season 6 are, because as fantastic as this show still is, it's been slowly drifting down in quality the past two seasons, and I'd hate for it to end after a couple of seasons that were less than excellent when it

@avclub-de9b2c02683eda6f873cba299e2712f5:disqus Speaking of Ethel Beavers, how fucking great was her scene with Andy and April in "Leslie and Ben"?  "Can you be our adopted grandma?"  "Fine."  "Thanks Grandma!"

I'll second "94 Meetings", as it was probably the first episode of the show that I loved (it was the only the second episode I'd seen, "Summer Catalog" being the first, and for that one I was too busy working out where all the characters stood in relation to each other to be fully involved.

"Camping" was probably the first episode of Season 3 that wasn't absolutely fantastic, in my opinion.  Though the crazy old lady's house was indeed spectacularly brilliant.

Unless there's a Dr. Who reference here that I'm not getting (as I know next to nothing about Dr. Who), I didn't find the Minerva stuff to be uncomfortably sexist, or anything.  I think it was more a jab at the subtle sexism against women's place in nerd culture, and the "I'm not sexist, this female character just

Well, have you ever seen this gentleman you once dated and Dave Grohl in the same place?

@avclub-bbb3af3d466d7231aa738ff95762091d:disqus "One By One" is pretty strong, now that I think of it.  Beats the hell out of IYH and ESP&G, at least.

Or, alternatively, take a break from everything except drumming on the new QOTSA album, and calling up John Paul Jones and asking him what he'd think about making another TCV album.

He was on the Foos' last album.
