I got the feeling she was projecting herself into Marshall Lee, in a not-particularly-positive-and-self-aware-of-the-fact-that-she-alienates-people kind of way.  Also, as amusing as it was to see Marceline make Prince Gumball into a really boring jerk, I thought PB and Marceline had kind of patched up their friendship

As brilliantly awesome as Donald Glover is as Troy, I think the character has been completely infatilized, and I say this as someone who generally disagreed with such accusations towards his character in Season 3.  Seriously, he's 22 or 23 years old, and he's exposed to enough pop culture that he should know what

BMO!!!!

If by "arbitrary randomness of the worst episodes", he meant "bizarre awesome randomness that when included with events of real emotional import to character development is a hallmark of the show's best episodes," then I'd say that that's a pretty accurate description of a scene where Cake randomly feeds Fionna

The part where she says "Boo," in an entirely unscary greeting to Ice King was far more amusing to me than it had any right to be.  Marceline's casual attitude towards spying on her friends is possibly the most hilarious part of her character.

Yeah, I didn't really think Troy was over-infantilized in season three like some people did; I thought that was perfectly explainable by the fact that he hangs out with Abed, and feels little need to filter anything weird/childish that pops into his head.  But in this Halloween episode, it was almost as if he were a

Can Gilbert aka "Fiddler's Green" from "The Sandman" join their watch group, as that was for some reason the first fictional character my mind settled on when reading '"real life super-hero" neighborhood watch group" when you said Gilbert?

I'm not going to lie, this was, in my opinion, the worst episode of Community that I've ever seen.  All the characters have regressed, or progressed in an uninteresting direction.  Jeff is a bigger douche than he's ever been until he gets an unearned character moment at the end of each episode (admittedly that moment

Easily the best bird joke since the "My bird is missing," guy from Season 3.  "There's no time for that; he can fly!" is still one of the best lines said by a non-cast member on this show.

Yes, and apparently the backstroke, swimming medleys, and swimming relays are joke sports, which undermines Michael Phelps' claim as the all-time greatest American Olympic athlete.

@avclub-b0dae075785888267fc19871f3e7dab7:disqus "When have people that don't believe in science ever changed their asinine arguments because of some word choice?"  Yeah, you're going to have a lot of trouble convincing some fundamentalist that evolution exists, and I think it's a bit pedantic to take exception with

When you say "curaaazy" did you mean for us to read it in Ron-Swanson-emphasizing-the-word-crazy voice?

@avclub-12a6b31534819f646bd9bf5e8a99756d:disqus Yeah, the whole argument in the peanut butter video makes no sense, but basically it makes the argument of:  If atheists are right, then at one point life came from nonliving material, so when you open a sterile jar of peanut butter, every once in a while abiogenesis

To be honest, when I saw the trailers/commercials for "Ratatouille," "Wall-E," and "Up," I was thinking that each of those movies would suck.  I was even leery of "Toy Story 3" based off of commercials, and yet all of them were excellent, so I'm withholding judgment on this one.

As @avclub-580d354c3188a098bb46e4cecea830ff:disqus said, the opening to "Amnesiac" is incredible, I'd have to say it even beats out the opening to "Kid A," even if "Kid A" is the superior album as a cohesive whole.

"2 + 2 = 5" and "Stand Up, Sit Down" is a pretty great start to "Hail to the Thief."

Yeah, I quite honestly don't think there's too many people who loved "The Magicians" so much that they were felt tremendously let down by "The Magician King".  I mean, I loved "The Magicians, and while I might not have like "The Magician King" quite as much, it was hardly a let down.  And I feel like I'm in the

"A Song of Ice and Fire" is pretty great; it only gets better with book three in my opinion before taking a slight dip in quality in books 4 and 5.

So would you recommend reading the Bas-Lag trilogy backwards as well?  Because there's a good chance that I'll start with "Perdido Street Station", as that's the book I have checked out of the library at the moment, and that's the first one in the trilogy, right?
