I feel like I'm a bit younger than pretty much everyone who's commented thus far, but my parents' musical interests were pretty much classic/80s rock.  It was definitely pretty influential on my musical tastes.  The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Rush, Iron Maiden, Metallica, even some stuff from the 90s like

As long as it's not "The Rake's Song", you should be good.

I truly didn't really care that much about what music I was listening to until I was in middle school, but as far as raising your kid on the Beatles goes, the "Yellow Submarine" film is definitely an amazing place to start.  That's such a wonderfully weird movie, and it's probably the reason that The Beatles were one

I think Lemongrab kind of scares everybody.

I apologize if I came across as a dick; that certainly wasn't my intention.  I've made plenty of speculation about characters and discussed plenty of possible subtexts in regards to this show.  I just don't think that it makes a whole lot of sense to think "Character X must have Asperger's" every time there's a weird

I feel like it was Papi.

Was your grandpa a vampire?

@avclub-664a26f366b9ef4988631e95af9b366d:disqus I believe next week's episode is set to feature both Earls of Lemongrab.  Speaking of which, I wonder which Lemongrab was brought to the dungeon this week.  The original, or the clone?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Ward voices Shelby, though I'm not sure what if any alterations they make to his voice to get it that high.  And that's a good point on NEPTR.  And of course, extra points to anyone who manages to use the phrase "tops blooby" organically in a comment.

I think it should be spelled "Papi".  That's how it sounded to me.  But yeah, I'm sure it's not the popular opinion, but I just didn't like this episode as much.  I mean, I still think it was quite good, and I gave it like a B; I've just thought that this was the weakest episode so far in a really strong season.  I

I disagree as to your analysis of this episode in comparison to the whole season (I think it was overall the weakest of the season thus far) but Glob, Lemongrab was amazing in this episode.  "Ice King, ho-ow do you taste."  "I dunno, good, I guess."  "MILD OR SPICY!?!?!?!?"

Watch it on Youtube, there isn't THAT much Tree Trunks.  Plus, how can you be be annoyed by someone who refers to NEPTR, Ice King and Lemongrab, as "NECTAR, Ice Cream, and Lemoncarbs"?

I think it should be more fuel on the "Lemongrab is an insane, violent sentient lemon on a cartoon show who's had about five minutes worth of dialogue total, so maybe it's pointless to try and diagnose him with something, plus I can't think of any pyshological/behavioral/social disorders/syndromes/etc. wherein

"but I relate to Ice King more"  That's definitely not weird.  I feel like there would have to be something seriously wrong with someone if the character with whom they identified most in this episode was the character who ate pie out of a giant unconscious rat's mouth, referred to people as his slaves, and was

But lampreys don't have jaws, much less unhingable jaws for eating Ice Kings.  Sorry, pedantic, overthinking-a-joke response over

I feel like everybody kind of just forgets about NEPTR until he just shows up again.  Wasn't he once "hidden" in a game of hide-and-seek with Finn and Jake for like 15 months of something?  Even BMO doesn't want to hang out with the guy, there was that episode where s/he responds to NEPTR's suggestion that, both of

@parvomagnus:disqus  Link has a grappling hook in "Wind Waker", but yeah, the hookshot is definitely the more iconic item.

You make a very good point there.

Also creepy was the way that he turns his head 180 degrees while reading the "wall words".

And the equally hilarious, but more succinct "Like an ashtray?"
