I think the major problem with Season 4 was the new showrunners desperately trying to recreate Harmon's voice when they really should have just tried to take the show into a new direction/tone (like maybe the early season 1 episodes, which would have been preferable to going so completely out there with the color

Season 4 Episodes that don't completely desecrate the harmony of the first three seasons: "Paranormal Parentage," "Alternative History of the German Invasion," "Herstory of Dance," "Intro to Knots," and "Heroic Origins."

So true!

After watching the pilot, I honestly don't even remember who's the supporting cast.

This is the truest statement of the movie.
That dinner scene with him, the Diane Warwick story, and the singing is most definitely my favorite scene in the movie.

^This!

Well, My Best Friend's Wedding actually subverts the rom-com expectations.

Exactly! Ganz is a great writer, but she tried way too hard to cater to the fan-service. This is why we got what we got with the Season 4 finale…
Harmon pretty much knows when to cater to the fans and when to say, "it's my story."

It was an ensemble show, but arguably only from seasons six to eleven.
Seasons 1-5 were pretty much about if Sam and Diane would get together. Every Season finale, they either broke up or hit a relationship milestone.
Seasons 6-11 focused more on the supporting characters and became a "shoot the shit" at the bar and

I really love this idea. With the rise in popularity of anthology shows, it would work well.

Wouldn't one argue that You're the Worst may be the only show to successfully have a rom-com premise that doesn't feel beat down to the core within the first season? That *spoiler alert" when they break up it actually feels warranted and organic? And when they inevitably get back together it will also probably be

I was being facetious. There most likely wont be a season 7.

The reason it was so great when it was first used in "Cooperative Calligraphy," was the fact that Britta couldn't think of someone fast enough to rhyme the word at the end of her sentence with.
And she most definitely didn't have final say in Seasons2 and 3, but probably got more say in Season 4 with no one (cough,

This is exactly why right now would be the perfect time to make Norm the Movie. http://scriptshadow.net/scr….
As much as I liked They Came Together it lacked the emotional depth that Norm the Movie has.

I feel like it's more of a Megan Ganz joke than a Community joke. (they tend to pop up more frequently in the episodes she's credited with).

That's the movie.

I'm probably in the minority who thinks this, but it might actually be good for Annie's character development if she appeared in less episodes/left half-way through the season/did not appear until half-way through the season.

She probably wanted more money (and how could you blame her?). As much as I love Community, I wouldn't blame her or Gillian Jacobs (who was about to get a starring role in a Judd Apatow series) for not being completely ecstatic about it.

Isn't she filming a movie right now? So maybe that's the reason she wouldn't be in the first episode? People really do freak out.

I think that's supposed to be part of the joke. Liz has so much trouble telling Cerie her concerns because Liz does not want to seem sexist, even though it is.
