We really should touch more on soap operas with TV Roundtable.  I was thinking of Passions (that mess of crazy) more than General Hospital, but even something soap-adjacent like Soap would be a welcome change.

Seems about right to me.  I probably laughed harder (but not necessarily more frequently) watching the AD episode, but this Futurama ep hit me in my heart much better than the AD one did.

I loved Bender's reaction to how slow the ship was moving.  :-)

I often think of Fry as the Futurama character who knows the late 1900s best because he lived them (not that he knows them well, given his status as "special"), but that idea disregards the whole head-in-a-jar thing, which Nixon's presence in this episode reminded me of.  Initially I was thinking that the tones were…

Isn't this episode more of a PSA than a source of controversy?  Who was angry that the show told teens not to take caffeine pills, Big Pharma?  Just wondering.

OMG, I remember that episode of Happy Days.  I had mono much, much worse than that episode prepared me for, and I didn't even do any kissing to get it.
