It's not nominated, but I like Family Guy's "Road to Rhode Island" and not just because it reminds me of the old road movies.  "Like a group of college freshmen who were rejected by Harvard and forced to go to Brown, we're Rhode Island bound."  :-)

You are technically correct—the best kind of correct.  :-)

"Plan for tomorrow
'Cause we swear to you
You're going to be okay"

"I can't believe the devil is so unforgiving.""I can't believe everybody's just ad-libbing."

Did someone mention Lexx?  Wow!  That never happens.  :-)

There were two.  "Lyre, Lyre, Hearts on Fire" is actually my favorite of the two because "The Bitter Suite" is super dramatic and "Lyre" is, conversely, super comedic and I prefer to laugh and have fun most of the time.  And while "Lyre" doesn't feature original songs, it does interesting things with existing

Anyone remember Buffy's episode "Earshot"?  (Incidentally, that ep got postponed initially, due to Columbine.)

- So, the only evidence of the imminent end of the world is Brittany's misinterpretation of a bug she sees in a Pringles can.  Yet that's enough to get Sam and Unique seriously worried (when did Unique become a Glee "dumb blonde"?) and to get the rest of the glee club to "seize the day" while they can.  Instead of

Really?  Okay.  But I definitely didn't get that impression from watching.

A Few Connections Between Characters' Lives:

Everyone involved with the show seems to have forgotten, which just bugs me.  It did happen; I saw it.

The god seemed to devour The Doctor's soul with no consequence for our hero whatsoever as far as I could tell.

The planet here reminded me of The Impossible Planet.

Is there a connection between The Great Intelligence's stealing people's minds and this god / planet's eating people's souls?

Everybody loves to get a surprise
Life can be so dull without a surprise
When your spirit's dragging
And you're oh so blue
It all can change if the fates arrange
A nice surprise for you

Did anybody get the Robert Wilson reference?  Richard and Eileen were talking about it at dinner.  Richard said that something was set in the present but was still a ripoff of Robert Wilson's version, and Eileen countered by pointing out the new POV and all the info on the mother.  I have no idea which of Robert

"Semen is often freshly available behind most bar counters and adds a personal touch to any cocktail."  Cute.

The secret ingredient is love, people.  Oh God, no!

I agree that this episode was fun.  :-)  My little quibble is that for something called "One Angry Fuchsbau" and involving a jury, the episode really didn't have much to do with Twelve Angry Men.

Mary Poppins never crossed my mind, but I can totally see what you're saying.  :-)
