Me pretty sure Parks has made mention of Ann being biracial, probably during one of Leslie's moments when she call Ann beautiful and just start piling on adjectives.

Exactly. It not that people like workplace sitcom, or will-they-won't-they sitcom, or sitcom where everyone in New York inexplicably white and have huge apartment. People like funny sitcom. Make more of those, and the demographic stuff not matter.

Me actually like idea of doing standalone Star Wars movies, that get to explore exciting universe George Lucas create without being tied down to having to involve Skywalker family drama. Just not with Zack Snyder involved.

Me assuming these people all have machetes, right?

That always drive me nuts. "Speed hump" something dog do when he get too excited.

You mean the Grammys?

@avclub-5bbc67c39fbdf1c74e28b86c595f6e4a:disqus , me may have that wrong, but me remember reading it on this site, in article about Norman Lear shows.

Me have long contended that Cusack's character would be someone you absolutely, utterly hate if he not played by America's Sweetheart John Cusack. But me can never not root for Cusack. See also: Paul Rudd.

How you think of that before me, @avclub-938603766b16954933bae247b9a4f8ac:disqus ? Me guess me hear Sesame theme so many times me not even give it much thought.

One thing me love about AV Club is that this kind of thing almost never happen.

@avclub-7b854e1c9778aa8ff839837766cf71d3:disqus , me always thought Jones sisters looked strikingly similar.

That good point. Even Archie Bunker supposed to have more obviously Irish last name but they go with something generic in end. Only white characters me can think of from classic TV who acknowledge ethnic heritage are Carla Tortelli and Kojak. (Me sure me overlooking plenty of people and will be soundly corrected in

Poor white people. So unfairly represented by media.

Fox in early days make conscious effort to court black audience, who were underserved by other networks. But Fox give same audience heave-ho once they get successful. UPN try same strategy with worse shows and hence diminishing returns.

There used to be idea - not just in culture, but encoded into law - that airwaves were public trust, and networks have responsibility to public. That why there used to be public affairs programming, and news programs with actual news content. PBS (and by extension, Sesame Street come out of same mindset. But that idea

Children's television also pretty racially diverse (me not want to toot own honker, but Sesame pretty pioneering in that regard). Even shows with  animal/monster characters like Wonder Pets or Backyardigans have diverse voice casts. Idea being that broadest possible swath of population find character who look/sound

Lisa Bonet… is Khaleesi? Me had no idea.

Clearly, Mandela marriage jinxed by Cosby Show.

How was show immoral? Did she find idea of talking duck blasphemous?

Me just want to throw this out there - no one in history of television has been on two shows with better theme songs than Sherman Hemsley.
