I don't know how many people here have had an opportunity to watch last night's PBS documentary on the history of comic books. They had a segment on Jim Steranko and his work on the SHIELD comic books.
Jane Espenson writes well when someone else does the plotting and pacing. She should look for a writing partner that is stronger in those areas and always work as a team.

I think the show is getting better week to week. This episode even had a few Easter eggs to indicate that even the show runners are aware of some of the problems, such as Skye calling Ward "a Robot". Skye seemed to be a little less glamed-up this episode
