Well now I feel silly about sharing my sappy love letter to the Transformers (as seen below), but I'm glad to know I'm not alone in my affections.  'Til all are one!

Transformers: The Movie.  I feel weird bringing it up because I mentioned something about it the other day and very few seemed to share my enthusiasm for that particular film, but even 25 years down the line it still makes me smile and, given our interwebsy anonymity, I feel safe to admit my simplest of simple video

I'm pretty sure the first song I picked up was "Hotel Yorba."  In almost ten years, my guitar playing hasn't improved all that much, but that song is still a fun party piece and I never thought of myself as much more than a strummer-singer anyway.

I think the lesson for us, for all of us to take away from these varied and perplexing experiences of intolerance and misplaced exclusion is that all God's children are terrible.

I do not believe the world could stand another Get Shorty sequel.

Dy-no-mite!

They call me "Fancy Smallcakes."

Sorry about the bad news, old sport.  Looks like you'll never see the quickening.

Plastics.

Words fail me.

God rest her zombie bones.

No time for dancing, or lovey-dovey,
I ain't got time for that now.

So choice.

Transformers: The Movie.  I must have been one or two years old and my God did I love it.  Hey, let's see what Leonard Maltin has to say about my cherished childhood favorite:

Not only is it a boring picture, it wastes Robert Redford, who should have been the perfect Gatsby.

Also, Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiims!

@avclub-ca4fc44a59d0201cc7d4f760153cb00c:disqus I'd never thought of that before.  Makes sense to me.
