Good one from INXS and I love that Elton John song…maybe not one of his better known but to me it's perfect.

Loved the style …that there was no narration and it relied on media clips and music. To me it was like a symphony, with the different stories weaving into and out of focus…all winding around OJ and the chase. It was amazing. I intend to watch it again tonight.
Double ditto.
Upvoted for including fellow Arkansas native Beth Ditto (though I think she pretty well …and probably justifiably…disowned the state).
Going from WASP to The Beatles…nice.
Nice deep cuts on NIN (wasn't that from "The Crow" soundtrack?) and Anthrax (from the John Bush era)
Watched the supberb 30 for 30 doc "June 17, 1994" yesterday via Netflix so my running soundtrack this morning was partying like it was the 90s:
Is this a Jurassic Park sequel where they combined Barney's DNA with GWAR?
Awesome!
I can go with their top 5 as is…when it comes to my FAVORITE Spielberg movies. But as far as what I think are his BEST, I do agree with you that SPR probably should be a tad lower — definitely behind ET and Schindler's.
We have a winner.
"Shatoy"
In the FACE!
Love that episode. It's the one where Fraiser shows up at the end.
Was exactly why I watched last night — leaving Netflix soon and it's the one I hadn't seen in the longest.
Hey - I was watching ST:The Motion Picture last night, probably for the first time since the early 90s in college. I had always thought it was slow, kinda boring and pretty "meh"…but last night, it didn't seem that bad. Still slow…but not bad.
Ditto. Just post-college then so I was too poor (and knew the bait-and-switch of soundtracks) to buy it on CD, plus I only had a cassette player in my Dodge Daytona so cassingles!
Indeed. Liked this article. Good read and I agree on most all points about the movie and the soundtrack…but "Latin flavored"?? Maybe we were listening to different cassingles (since that was the format I chose to buy "Hold Me…" in at the time because I knew of the soundtrack bait and switch and at that point I didn't…
I do. I do. Season 2 may not have the intensity of the first season but I do like it.
Love those Night Versions. Had a record of them (the now out-of-print "Carnival" back in the day) and then managed to find them on CD back in the early 2000s.
