I disagree. I think Superman, at least in his modern incarnation, has three personae — one real self and two disguises — at least as much as Batman.

Really? Agent Smith's accent tends to be my go-to example for a shitty attempt at an American accent, though in this case the shittiness is part of the character (the character is literally inhuman and therefore is meant to sound stilted, fake and forced).
It's really hard to say exactly what "accent" someone has when singing, which is a fundamentally different act from speaking, but it ain't American, really. The vowels may sound more American but you also drop r's all over the place and whatnot — if anything it probably sounds most like the phony "trans-Atlantic"…
I guess America just still isn't ready for a radioactive rabbi, huh?

A few people made jokes about it. BFD. "Boy, I bet some people will make a lame pun about this!" is an idiotic thing to spend even one breath complaining about, much less a whole extended bit.

Rush earned so many points from me when they sued Rush Limbaugh to stop playing their music on his show.

To be fair, it's possible Rush knows the "Bane" character already existed but that the reason Nolan chose to take that particular villain from the comics and put him in his high-profile movie was the Romney name connection.

It's just ironic that you're so fervently defending the show against these interlopers when the first two items on your list seem to betray a poor understanding of it. (At the very least, how can you forget that we've already seen Pierce's mansion? The Young Chevy Chase oil painting is one of Community's best sight…

@leave_the_silver_city The shocking thing about the Great Leap Forward is that after liberalization papers have been released showing that Party leaders knew what was actually going on within a year of the GLF's inception, and that the failure of the Lushan Conference in 1959 to actually do anything about it wasn't…

How much of the credit for China's development do you really need to give to Mao, personally? As opposed to the psychotic suicidal policies that inarguably and specifically bore his personal stamp? (We can argue about the Great Leap Forward but you cannot seriously shift blame aside for the Cultural Revolution — the…

Hmm, so Dan Harmon as Jor-El, Guarascio and Port as Jonathan and Martha Kent, respectively, and Community as Superman? Does that work better than the band thing?

People aren't "turning on" this show because they randomly decided it started to suck one day, they're doing so because of the very public firing of the showrunner who was very widely publicly known as the genius behind it.
