There are two ways to do it straight-faced though. There's the straight-faced, "we are aware that this is ridiculous but we're doing it anyway" version, and the "no this isn't ridiculous it's serious stuff so stop laughing" version. This film appears to take the latter route, which never works, instead of the former

If you want to count the accidental capitalization of the "I" in X-Files, then there are two.

Fred Armisen was gold in that scene. Those two are a great duo, I wish they did more stuff together.

For what it's worth, "show runner" has been in the Simpsons terminology since the 90s. Dave Mirkin was the showrunner for sesons 5 and 6, Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein were the showrunners for 7 and 8, and they've self-identified themselves as such long before this recent trend started.

I was actually kinda hoping that they WOULDN'T rescue Bolin in time and that he would lose his bending before they managed to get him out of there. It would really change the group dynamic - we'd have our non-bender, it would introduce new pro-bending difficulties, and it would give Bolin some interesting room to grow

Season 3 had a very rocky start, but it seems to be finding itself in the second half. Season 2, however, came out of the gates strong and only picked up steam.

I loved this episode. The three subplots all feel like they have room to move and expand, while still feeling full enough in this episode, which promises a great payoff in the next episode - hopefully in the style of Environmental Science.
