A depressingly eye-roll inducing confession is now in order to support the point I am about to make—I am in the process of attempting to write a fantasy novel (if the shame doesn't stop me). Anyway, after getting some workshop feedback, I started making a list of phrases that I was using repeatedly and did a search on

Not to be all defending the logic of McG and pedantic and stuff, but they were discussing thermal imaging—he probably just meant the blooming of the heat signature, meaning that the body temperature of her ladybits was rising markedly due to increased circulation caused by arousal. Which makes it no less disturbing

Yeah there are some great clunkers from a practicality perspective in the world-building of B5. I like to cut them slack, because they are at least unique, flavorful clunkers, part of the otherness of B5 that makes it so valuable. But any doubts I had about whether JMS was really being dumb about those things were

What continues to astound me while watching this show, especially later seasons, is that the man under all that lizard makeup proves to be  one of the finest actors in the history of television, and yet, out of the makeup, Andreas Katsulas was never more than "Mobster #3" most of the time. What a waste.

Good thoughts.

Good thoughts.

You have put words to something that always bothered me subconsciously, but the plot sped along before I could grasp it. Thank you.

Ye gods—now that my eyes have been opened, I cannot unsee it!

I just finished "The Long, Twilight Struggle." S2-Ep 20, I believe. The chills up my spine just thinking about it. I forgot how many iconic moments are packed into that one episode.
