I was wondering how much of Rachel's point of view came from Lea Michelle's rationale when doing Spring Awakening.
I have to say, I don't know if your view on the parenting on the show makes you old, but if you're going to champion this show's version of parenting which pretty much always boils down to "Drug the kid and keep them helpless until you can take their powers away," (Caroline's dad did it and now Bonnie's parents too)…
I don't disagree. But neither has the High School narrative. The New York stuff is at least doing good things with our old characters.
No one's saying it wasn't ridiculous. I'm just saying it was highly expected.
Oh, come on, you had to know it was only a matter of time before Rachel sang a duet with herself. As soon as it started happening I just threw up my hands in exasperation and said, well it's about damn time!
I think you're in the minority on that one. The New York stuff has been the only stuff that's really worked thus far, minus it's snags. But it's Glee so nothing's allowed to be perfect. But Rachel's journey has been great this season and her character development has been totally believable. The Kate Hudson stuff was…
The odd thing is they had the moment during the final number with Tina dancing with new guy #3 (I think his name is Ryder but I don't really care) and seeming to enjoy it. At that moment I thought to myself, Yeah that could make a little sense, he's cute and sweet and has agreed to back off of new girl #1. Either way…
I was screaming "Ok now make out!" at my TV screen the entire time. With Ryan Murphy writing the scene, I'm going to assume it was totally deliberate. Once again Glee makes me want something I never even considered being an ok idea before they bring it up.
AAAAAHHHHH dear God, where to even start with this one?
Best Episode Of the Season! (so far).
The odd thing about it for me is that the things I've found to not be working still aren't working. Thea is less annoying than she was in the first few episodes, but she's still very annoying. Lance just doesn't work for me on any level whatsoever. I get his motivation, I get the whole grieving father thing, but he…

This was, hands down, the best pilot I've seen in a long while! The only knock against it, for me, was was the FBI agent breaking into the garage and going right to the trunk in the end. I didn't think they set that up well enough for me to willingly suspend my disbelief on it. I get it that he's paranoid, and that's…
I am clearly going insane, I swear I looked for it while watching the dvds and didn't find it! Thank you!
Totally unrelated but did anyone watch Pushing Daisies when it was on? I mean I guess obviously not since it didn't last long, but still. I just borrowed the DVDs from a friend and I seriously loved it! Who can I talk to about maybe getting someone to review it for AV Club Classics? lol
In all fairness, I was only referring to the comedy elements of this one episode, but I don't think they've done enough to give him a compelling backstory or make him into a complete 3d character. However, they haven't done so for any of the characters, so I hardly think that he qualifies for "biggest problem" status.…
I'd like to preface my statement by saying that I really like Sims, and I've never really understood why so many commenters don't. His Game of Thrones (Newbies) reviews are some of my favorites so I appreciate him. With that being said, I think this might be the best Mindy review we've gotten in a long while. I think…
Anyone know what happened to Meredith Blake or what we can do to get her back?
I was referring to the conversation between Lip and Ian and the tact that the show took of actually understanding the sticky situation it continued placing Ian in. But thank you for being so quick to jump to the wrong conclusion and contradicting me so easily. Greatly appreciated.
