I agree with a lot of this really, especially the first part. And, I'm sorry, but it's continued issues like this that have left me thinking that Todd isn't the right person to be reviewing this show. That's not to say that the person to review Glee needs to have some abundance of Pop Culture knowledge and be

I promise that I am not at all complaining about this fact, but does anyone know why Betty has been basically absent from this season. I know January Jones is all knocked up and such, but is that the only reason? Or have they maybe finally gotten as sick of Betty as I have?

Are we supposed to make anything of Joffery's sudden and extreme unwillingness to let Roz touch him? I'm sure he's a sadistic bastard, so there's that obviously, but could there also be more to it than the simple surface of thing? I'm guessing he is a virgin as his uncle seemed to have surmised, but the way he

Buckets and torches and rats, oh my. Lol you know you all were thinkin it!

I agree with what a lot of you are saying, and I'll admit that I didn't think of it that way at the time, but with that being said, I also think that she is at their mercy, showing them the dragons or not. She needs them a lot more than they need her. Because ultimately she needs to be let into their city, and once

Ultimately I think this is the real reason she didn't show them. I was thinking it for a long while, starting with the fact that they needed yet another short shot of Rob's Direwolf at the beginning, and add to that the extreme ending and you've got budget concerns.

I didn't really see the ending scene is quite the same way, but now that you mention it, yea I guess it's fine. I'm kind of downgrading this episode because I think the scene w/ dany was rather pointless (just pull back the damn curtain on the box and let them see the dragon and you get inside), and the ending scene

This was certainly the first episode that I at least kind of enjoyed in a long long long time. I give the episode a solid B-, but @avclub-6512bd43d9caa6e02c990b0a82652dca:disqus , that was the single greatest review I have read on AV Club thus far. It was even better than watching the episode. So I'm thinking maybe

This was really really an amazing experience. I do wish you were also reviewing Korra, but I'm sure it'll be fine. I'm looking forward to the next episode to see if I can better pen down where the show is going. But either way, thank you so much for doing this. I've long considered this to be the second best cartoon

I do find that problematic. We wouldn't praise Mad Men for playing with kid gloves and nailing a low stakes emotional storyline that's pulled off by two of the most poorly drawn characters on the show. While I agree that it's possible that that's the bar Glee has set for itself, I can't agree that one should engage

@avclub-7aee1b75b527e215f31e20a5c4e7a768:disqus  You are hands down one of my favorite reviewers on AV Club. Between Game of Thrones, Mad Men, and Archer you bring it to some of my favorite shows, and you always get me to look at the shows I love in a different and more interesting light, but it is the rarest of

Allow me to say that my hope/prediction from last week that Renly's  wife, Margaery, was in on his thing with Loras and is more interested in seeing him as king than she is in other things is starting to look pretty damn accurate. lol I certainly think a purely altruistic character isn't really in this show's DNA, but

Omg, Autumn, I've been thinking/wondering the exact same thing about Renly's new wife since I watched the preview for this season! She's Loras' sister so I'm guessing that she knows about the fact that her brother's gay (or whatever they consider gay to be in this world) but she also has that line "my husband is my

Of all of that, the only thing I really agree with is his cheating on his wife and his dealing with Melisandre, which as I pointed out could be the beginning of the downfall of an otherwise honorable man. You can complain that his editing of the letter makes him a dick, and you'd be totally right, but all of his edits

Yeah I agree with that for sure! But one thing I'd question is, since the show seemed to want us to view parts of the world through Ned's eyes, and they were always careful to point out how good and honorable Ned was, which were the traits that made him unfit to be the King's hand, and since Ned felt that Stannis was

I saw a quick flash of the blue eyes while watching in HD, so I'm 98% sure it was a white walker…

I agree that things could start out fairly well, since he is a great military tactician as everyone keeps pointing out, but I'm wondering how he meets his end. Is it possible, that Renly (the soft one who's never see battle and doesn't care for the site of blood) actually has to kill his big battle tested brother on

So we're def all of the opinion that this is all the start of Stannis' downfall? I'm curious about how the show wants us to feel about him. He is the "rightful" air to the throne, and he's not a totally bad guy (very honorable at least), but he's just no Renly. I don't hate him, but sadly I do love love love me some

So you mean you weren't totally surprised by the Henry Aiden thing because I mean, like whoa! They didn't make that one totally obvious at all!!!

I think you have every right to feel that way, and I think your observations are really dead on (all of what you pointed out really did happen), but I think if you're pointing at those elements as being "what's wrong" with this show, then you've really missed the point. But along those lines, I also think that you're
