If I think of Alex Lifeson's guitar sound, I just imagine something that looks like a NASA server closet to deliver the chorused, flanged, compressed, Aural Excited sound he seemed to go for.

M: "I want you to track down the party or parties who did this. And I want you to bring them to justice."

Thirded. My ex tried quite a few, and in different combinations. Also alcohol can add a real wild card into the body chemistry. You're clearly an intelligent, funny and thoughtful person and we all really value your company here. Please don't stop striving to be happy with yourself.

"The holo-shed's on the fritz again. The characters became real."
"Damn! Last time that happened, I got slapped with four paternity suits!"

"…tasteful decorations on Regent Street."
"Are you being ironic?"
"I don't even know any more!"

It's interesting you say this because I had a talk with a female friend who declared that she was tired of guys thinking sex was a push-up contest. After ten minutes she'd want them to fucking get to over with, because she was done after three minutes of vaginal. However, non-penetrative sexual play she was all for. I

Kojak is right. More sleep, less booze, eat well, and I'd specifically say aerobic exercise and yoga. Yoga, or at least loads of stretching, specifically limbers up and increases circulation in the Boner Regions. Finally, less self-pleasure. As Dan says, the Death Grip is your worst enemy, unless you only bed boys who

Signs made no sense at any point, so at least it had consistency on its side. Alien invaders travel across unimaginable vastness of space, need crop circles for navigation, can't break down doors, go around in toxic environment butt-nekkid. I think it might have worked as a slapstick tale of hugely incompetent space

Yeah, I've written and recorded a few hundred songs either in demos or full-on fer-sale versions and the best ones… I have no fucking idea what I had in mind. They just sounded right and people seemed to identify something in them with which they could identify.

I enjoyed The World is Not Enough, but large because Sophie Marceau gives me feelings…

My band opened for them in 1987. Yes, I'm that old. My recollections are that they wore diapers and they they were very very frightening. I was thankful to escape that show with most of my hearing and minimal bruising.

I once played bass with Collective Soul. Ed asked asked me back. I declined, saying I didn't really like the music.

I'd put that right up there. No one does "Everyman… if everyman were just fucking COOLER" like Grant.

"Generator" was a good song, I guess. I liked some things about Elastica but I was already into The Stranglers, so when I saw the all-black wardrobe with red script on the cover of the first record, then heard the total JJ Brunel choppy distorted bass, and finally got to "Waking Up," I was prone to disliking them.

There is nothing about that woman that I don't like, apart from her complete ignorance of my existence.

I don't like Rush (respect but don't like) but I do dig Lifeson's playing. Does he still though have that super-processed, compressed tone and heap on the chorus, flanger and kind of digital sounding distortion for solos? I'd love to her him just play a damn Tele through a tweed Bassman.

I respect them for their work ethic and clarity of vision and they seem like nice guys. But in the end I want my rock to be expressed from the waist down, not the neck up. I want sings about fucking and fighting, not about robots and politics.

I'd like to introduce you to a Mr. Charles Mingus.

Oh gosh. I had completely forgotten Midnight. I don't know how I found that but it was a surprising pleasure, not like unearthing a treasure chest, but definitely like finding a five dollar bill in my pants pocket.

Agreed completely. Hepburn can do shrill or sympathetically high-strung, but Bringing Up Baby managed to keep the dial on shrill. Something about the pacing never worked for me, and the screwball aspects seemed too forced.
