There's no better argument than music argument, as everyone is right. Always. Which also applies to arguments over religion, but those tend to end in bloodshed.

A desperately cute indie girl got me into GBV, Chavez, and Blonde Redhead in '96 or '97. Since she was desperately cute I tried hard but the 400 albums, the 50 or so Fading Captain Series, the 60-something Pollard albums, the Tobin Sprout one (really good) etc. were too much to comprehend. Give me Chavez. Three…
Thank you.
My first thought reading the review was not that she is always one to do things her way, but to shamelessly mimic Kate Bush. Good to see the love for Ms. Bush here.
Jawbox.
Yeah, especially as the guys make serious scratch doing music for movies and TV. Total songwriting pros, tight producers. Frankly I think it's because Crish Collingsworth's voice is so nasal and un-star-like. The songs and production are pure radio candy.
Weirdly the Connells were big in Sweden. My Swedish girlfriend (now wife) was pretty impressed when I told her my band had opened for the Connells. Who, incidentally, were the nicest guys I'd ever met in music.

Hipseter defense? Um… REO's use of obscene amounts of reverb set the stage for Jesus and Mary Chain and later My Bloody Valentine. But wow, that was some shamelessly cornball music.
Also thanks to wm3.org
Burk, Kathy, and company. Nice work. I know they've worked their asses off for ages to get people to listen to this.
Blade Runner 2: Do Androids Dream of Electric Boogaloo?
Well-written
That was nice. I'm sometimes surprised, when I hear some Elvis recording that's new to me, at how often there's some real power, though often hidden beneath blankets of weird production. And the Sun session are just raw, unfiltered, rawk 'n' datum roll. I don't think any kid who wants to play in a rock…
Oy, vey, again with the Glee? They're nice kids but the handful of people I've met who like the show are so annoying in their fandom it gives me such a pain…
Best concert ever
And yeah I've seen Miles Davis, Replacements, Ramones, Muse, Mekons, Jody Grind, Rush, Sun Ra, Descendants, Iron Maiden… I'm not JUST into pretentious art shit.
Thirteen
If the idiotic things I did at that age had been publicized worldwide I'd have offed myself. Her parents are committing borderline child abuse by pushing her out into the pop culture abattoir.
I don't buy many movies at all, especially since Netflix streaming, but before that I'd bought
If you liked Seam…
I really like FoW. They sometimes get a little precious, but they don't apologize for wanting to write songs people can identify with and sing along with. Kind of the musical equivalent of Office Space. Flawed heartfelt, smart but approachable, and kind of ballsy in they they dare to please audiences but not try to be…
I can't believe they're playing together again. I uesta know one of the Archers (Loafers?) well enough to annoy him about playing music with me, and he looked at playing again with all the enthusiasm of a visit to the dentist. Of course my music sucks, which probably didn't help.
I assume the Dan Brown canon is in the Juvenile Fiction section, or possibly propping open the door to the broom closet.
