I didn't mind the movie at all - I particuarly liked Nicole Kidman, which is a bit odd, but her immobile, inhuman, deeply insincere glamorous kindness made her perfect for the role. Oh well; life is pain.
And Ian McShane voiced the OTHER polar bear.

Actually, it's an INSANELY political show - sometimes eye-rollingly blatantly so. However, they combine it with so much total weirdness and perversity that it all kind of balances out and becomes apolitical entertainment again.
This film is also good as hell. "Watch This", you're on a roll!

Whatever it was, I want some, and I think America in general needs a couple of doses per capita.
It's shite. And embarrassing to the viewer, especially if they like musicals and kidnapping capers. And Holly Hunt! WHAT THE EVERLIVING COITUS WAS THAT. Arrghhh… it's all coming back to me now and I feel all stabby.
This movie is good as hell. I concur; watch this. And then drink yourself into a stupor afterwards; you'll need it.
I really hated Sunshine, too. It should have been the perfect movie for me, but again, I hated it - except for the exceptional space porn. That is some good stuff. A movie stuffed with so many of my favorite actors, about a fantastic subject, a thrilling story, a favorite director, and space porn.

No, not really, but it can be - music alone is a very rich and multifaceted face of this movement - jazz and hip-hop and electronic noodlings and what have you. But no, it's visual art, and film, and fiction, and lifestyle, at least in terms of "What kinds of thoughts drive you?"
