His relationship stuff is bad but he (and everyone else) is great in Kings of Comedy.
I prefer House Slang.
Good X-Files episode too, with a lot of Michael McKean.
Is your avatar from the original or the remaster?
Oh my word. Soul brother or sister. Me too, exact same Bombeck book! And it got me into a bunch of other mellow humorists like Dave Barry, Lewis Grizzard, and Patrick McManus. And now I'm the head writer for Tim & Eric!
Yeah. I hate to use the word formulaic since it all seemed very intentional to me, but it does technically fit. I think I have enough posts here to shamelessly pimp my review of the series, which says everything I would have to retype here:
I completely get that. The story starts taking shape in book 5 and I felt like repetition in the first 4 emphasized that—but it's a very weirdly structured series, for sure. The second half of the series is quite varied.
It's a great series though I am surprised most people make it through the first 6 books—I believe it's intentional, and I enjoyed it a lot, but those books have the exact same plots with just slight shading differences. It's necessary for the themes and I found it darkly hilarious, but it's no Harry Potter.
He couldn't pass the test which bears his name.
Best. Episode.
That's all I want out of Frasier.
That's a good point. I take it back.
Yes, it would be surprising if you thought your opinions came from a deep well of ignorance. You'd probably be the first.
It would be very surprising if you did.
Was not expecting a McGee and Me reference on here. I wasn't allowed to watch The Blunder Years (one of the later ones, where Nick is a teen) because it was too… full of parties? I don't know.
You obviously didn't grow up in an evangelical household. We weren't allowed to watch many movies but if it had something to do with the Rapture, it tended to get the stamp of approval. I am fairly certain I'll remember pieces of this movie forever.
I would take Cruz over Trump. For one thing, I doubt he'd be able to win anyway. But for another, I think the biggest negative Trump has brought to this election season is his willingness to go as dirty, crass, cruel, as possible and not get dinged for it. I know everyone here hates Cruz—and I'm not fan either,…
REDACTED TO ASH AND FLAME
I would really like a Spotify playlist of the ones available there. Quickly sampling via a bunch of YouTube embeds is a hassle.
