I remember going onto the internet after watching the TGIQ the first time and seeing how hated it was.   It was really shocking.  I loved it.  My favorite part, of course, was the Wes/Illyria interaction.   Amy Acker was amazing, and my respect for her talent just kept going up.   How she shifted back and forth

@avclub-60b08acc1f3a4db4ff5f01c9fd828776:disqus  I completely agree.  I don't think giving a vampire a soul automatically would make them a good person.  It's about giving them a choice.  Funnily enough I think if you stuck a soul back in a bunch of newly turned vampires, alot of them would turn evil.  They'd be a

Toasterlad,  I have to agree with what's been stated by others here.  What Buffy says to Ford is how she sees vampirism at the time, but her being a slayer doesn't make her all knowing or infallible.  There are plenty examples of that throughout her series.

He was in 1x05.  Someone make graffiti of him that they scrapped off the walls. Plus when Sally is in Simon's house and asks to see a video, you see its a video of his future self in an orange hoodie riding around on a bicycle.   You can just fanwank it and say he traveled back in time a little farther after he

Rachel is like all the characters in the series.  Morally ambiguous and sympathetic in a a certain light.  I always that it was sad that she died a virgin, then she comes back loses it and kills Alisha.  I don't like her, but I do understand her.

@avclub-dc10fce584f2cdf09d6690e0f2883227:disqus Two very good time-travel stories.  I prefer Chrono Trigger. Love that game.  Primer has some minor logical flaws that you have to fanwank, but it is damn near perfect.

@avclub-6fd0e0526d9d0ccf474e886616e439d4:disqus I do get how the storyline is disappointing to some people.  It actually holds up better if you remove the God's eye view we have over the entire story.  I freely admit that I'm a fanatical fan, and have done that.  There are alot of little moments that can be taken for

Hmm….even if you're an atheist some things have to just exist. Otherwise where did the universe come from?  I use the same argument against religious people when they use God to answer it.  I just say where did God from.  Or how could we have free will, if God is omnipotent? It all comes down to just accepting

It's a character driven show. If you pay attention to the characters, main and side-characters, things make sense.  There are only two non-nitpicky flaws in this entire arch.  The ASBO 5 tape has no origin.  And the fact that Superhoodie was around before 1x06.  Everything else is just people not paying attention to

Her killing Alisha just makes sense thematically.   Alisha used to be everything she despised.  And Rachel was never the most stable of people.  That's why she almost brainwashed everyone around her in 1x06.  And its why she blames the gang for the choices she made when she acted out as a ghost.

There is no original timeline besides the one we saw.   This is how their relationship works.  Their deaths make them run back to each other.  Simon was and always will be the guy in the mask.  Superhoodie is Simon at the end of his life, preserving the timeline so he can protect his friends and be with the woman he

@avclub-2300d8171ca46be1ee5a72d2837c1b6d:disqus I found Rudy's brand of humor distinct from Nathan's since the first episode.  They're both loud and abrassive, but Rudy is a far nicer person that Nathan.  Nathan's humor tend to come at the expense of anyone and everyone around him.  Rudy's humor is far more

I get around this by thinking Simon risk his life traveling through alternative pasts, before he reaches the right point in his own time-line to set the proper events in motion. So we might see a world where the milkguy wasn't stopped. Where Alisha is killed by the GTA guy. Where Nathan is converted and the Virtue
