I have a blog, but it's not really focused on TV. I added the link to my profile.

I don't think that Sabre marketing a terrible, ill-conceived tablet or a crummy smartphone is unrealistic at all. RIM and HP have both put out terrible ill-conceived tablets, and lots of companies are rolling out cheap Android devices with unresponsive touchscreens and glitchy software. The Sabre device's triangle…
There was about a twenty-minute chunk of tonight's episode where I was almost convinced that "Dexter" was using the fairly obvious multiple-personality twist to set up some kind of reversal into something unexpected. I thought maybe Dexter had finally gone crazy and was, himself, Gellar/the doomsday killer,…
HBO has an "on demand" channel with every cable provider, that makes its original programming available instantly. This probably siphons off a lot more viewers than internet streaming, because it's available on the TV, through the regular cable interface, without using any other device or service.
It doesn't take a great deal of expertise to make a pipe bomb, and with Walt's chemistry knowledge, it's not a stretch at all to believe he could make explosives out of common household items.
The Time Warner App
The reason Fox and Discovery flipped out over Time Warner's app has nothing to do with end-user piracy. The companies that make or own television programs slice up the various rights associated with the content and sell them to different parties.
The reason
The reason the stuff on American Dad is good and the stuff on Cleveland is bad is that American Dad has better writers. All three shows are MacFarlane-created properties, but I'm sure they're distinct operations, other than MacFarlane's involvement.
I'm sure Becca will go to college in LA so she will still be around, if the show runs two more seasons. But nobody really watches Californication to see what's going to happen to Becca; people watch to see what sort of crazy shit Hank and Runkel are going to get up to.
Californication
This was the weakest season of Californication. The story of Hank's legal troubles carried no suspense whatsoever; it was pretty clear he wasn't going to jail.
Peter has got to be thinking…
If he plays his cards right, he can probably make a double-Olivia, physics-twisting doppelganger three-way happen.
The seminar
The seminar conceit of this episode was a little bit silly; the time-share presentation Andy was trying to mimic ropes people into sitting through the pitch by offering them something of value, like a prize or a free weekend in the time-share property. Andy didn't have anything of value to offer. It's…
The British "Office" could use the conceit that a documentary film-crew was hanging around because it only ran 12 episodes. The American "Office" hasn't really figured this out.
There's no time left for Michael to evolve in an organic way. If he suddenly changes at the last minute from the character he's been for six years, it will be an expediency and an artificial resolution rather than an earned one. The show needs to pass its judgment and resolve him as he is, rather than turning him,…
Michael
Michael and his happy-sad boxes basically set up the tension that's likely to dominate the rest of the season (other than who will replace him).
Californication
I like this show. I think "Dexter" is a bad show that's sometimes fun, "Californication" is a fun show that's sometimes good. I disagree that the show is about Becca, though; it's definitely about Moody and Runkel. Becca is what gives Moody a shot at redemption, and Becca is a promise to the…
Michael Scott
Michael's character arc hasn't been toward happiness or fulfillment. I don't think that's ever been what his story was about. He is a character who is failing to live the life he wanted, and failing to be the man he wants to be, and his awful behavior is generally rooted in the distorted view of the…
People suspect the nanny because the show pays so much attention to her, and gives her so much screen time. She must have some sort of role to play in the plot.
Keep in mind that this show killed off Rita in a pretty brutal fashion, and she was as close to being a sympathetic character as you can get from this show.
This season
Santa Muerta is not an unresolved plot point. It existed purely to waste time, to introduce the new cop to the Homicide room (as Quinn was introduced in S3) and to move the ball on the Angel/LaGuerta relationship. It also introduced conflict between LaGuerta and Deb, which creates a plot thread that will…
I think "Georgia Rule" was the movie where she kept a union crew waiting around all day. And hard living ain't making her any more attractive.
