Your description made me look Milligan up in IMDB and he has a delightful (awful) biography. This pretty much sums it up:

Did any of those last more than one season, though? One season is an understandable "hoping it gets better" situation; that's what I (almost) did with Terra Nova. Watching every episode of Heroes is the crazy, ahem *eyes dart back and forth*

I don't watch either* so can't say anything about relative quality, but to me it sounds like Hardcore Pawn misses with the name. Too many people don't want to be misheard at work talking about what they watched last night. War is A-OK, of course.

The Mongolian BBQ place I used to go to ran the MXC version of Takeshi's Castle constantly on half their TVs (ESPN on the other half). Never any sound so the only jokes that came across were the goofy names and costumes, no context whatsoever. Never any sort of other Asian content for years and years, either, just MXC…

When I first watched it there were the first two seasons on DVD, none streaming. Now the two seasons are streaming as well but I totally missed the rest of them being there.
He'll always be Wise Blood to me. See also, Jesus Built My Hotrod.

Half the charm of Jay is even though I can't understand about 30% of what he's saying, I know it's absolutely filthy. Some of his slang is totally made up but he delivers it with a joyful leer that makes his meaning clear.
The same reason Netflix has only two seasons of Peep Show?
He plays cello, drinks good beer and, since he repairs watches for a living, his interest in antiques tends to skew mechanical, but yeah, pretty much.

I re-watched it early this year and really loved it. It's more small farmer vs. suburban sprawl and development than workers vs. management in the context of this article, though. The magic bits definitely don't quite fit, but the texture of social life is beautifully illustrated and fun.

My supposition is that the Doctor will meet an earlier incarnation of Oswin, pals around for a while during which the TARDIS acquires enough of her memories to, in essence, *mostly* de-Dalek the version we saw in this episode.

I love Lydia and her jittery sharp intelligence. She's temperamentally so ill-suited, I'd like to learn her breaking bad story.
