I've gotten to episode 4. I don't think it's acting like it's doing anything shocking or blowing people's minds. Just showing you what's going on, what this guy's doing. I think I was right calling it a glum West Wing, but it's definitely not trying to be preachy or saying, "look how BAD these people are." It

You do realize that the people marathoning the same show you watched week to week are actually spending less time watching the show than you did, right? So…you've actually "wasted" more of your time than they did.

Raising Arizona's probably my favorite Coen bros film. But, I do enjoy all of Fincher's film aside from Benjamin Button but hate at least half of the Coen bros' movies.

Because she's fucking awesome. DOY!

Good for you.

Again, you can comment on that summary review that's already linked up there. What part of this are you not understanding?

So far, I already find Spacey's fourth-wall-breaking annoying. (Does every show with "House Of" in the title have to do this from now on?) The director and look of the show is great, but it feels like a more glum, super-serious West Wing. The writing just doesn't feel up to the direction and performances. I'm hoping

That's what they're doing.

He literally wrote that you can get spoilery on Todd's overview review of the whole series in the link provided above. UGH!

The Wire was actually pretty bad at newspaper drama. But, I mean, if that's all you have to go on, it's true that most portrayals of the news game probably don't even measure up to that standard.

Well, then…SHOO! GIT!

Oh, no. It's much, MUCH better. You'll straight lose your mind laughing.

I do get a bit hyperbolic about my feelings about them, but that's only in the face of how hyperbolic get in their feelings about them. But they state their feelings as fact, so…that grates quite a bit.

They BOTH have monkeys!

They don't suck. I'm just not WILD about them. Their early pop stuff's fantastic.

lolz. That's still not good.

Too bad. The last line in Do No Harm is funnier than anything in the 30 Rock episode.

Yeah. I'm not a fan of "anti-comedy" so you probably hit the nail on the head as to why I can't stand him.

Yeah. I was going to mention The Dark Tower series as mine. I've never been able to get through The Gunslinger. I just end up putting it down and rereading The Road.

So you're starting the week on Fridays now, AVC? Haha! Fuck you.
