I hope Hansel & Gretel doesn't bomb. It looks fun as hell.

Who?
Yeah, this piece didn't really mention it(probably because a lot of the writers here live in Chicago or LA), but this is the time of year all the awards-hopefuls actually get released outside of the 5 or 6 major cities. So, the rest of the nation will actually now get to see movies like Zero Dark Thirty, Amour, The…
Did you just call Alice In Wonderland a not-bad film?
I know one person who would see it that way.
Going On 30?
I agree on the last point. If that was nominated for anything, it should win, in my opinion.
Your saying her campaign should disqualify her even if she had the best performance of the year?
Foreign films usually get nominated during the year they were released in their home country. Since it was released in 2011, it won a lot of awards in that year and the year after.

Don't forget the Star Whackers!
I haven't seen Amour or Zero Dark Thirty so I don't feel like I can weigh in on Best Picture yet(as of now, it's Django Unchained by a country mile). Only category I can make a definitive call on is Skyfall for Best Cinematography. Because, I mean…c'mon.

It made the show's deconstruction of reality TV tropes even more fascinating and exciting to watch.
The guy in season 2 was so genuinely great that I actually felt sad when it was revealed to him that "Piper"(the bachelorette) was just an actress playing a part. I was hoping those two kids would make a go of it IRL!
