I think it's also worth mentioning that Zooey Deschanel has toned the "adorkability" way the fuck down, to the point where she's basically just your average woman in her late 20's who lives with 3 dudes.
Are they really that well-developed? I gave up in Season 2 when it felt like they didn't really progress all that much and the episodes kind of blended together.
While I don't consider New Girl a top comedy, something about The Middle turns me off. I think it's Patricia Heaton.
