Nah, the plagiarism accusations were leveled at him by academic historians who didn't like the way that he cited sources with footnotes but failed to use quotation marks around the cited material. I'm not familiar with Round The Bend, but I'll go with MM:TNA, with 1988's The Completely Mental Misadventures of Ed Grimley trailing in second, quite a way back.
